Why CNC give 5 yrs warranty? Empty Why CNC give 5 yrs warranty?

Post by forte3737 17th November 2009, 10:54 pm

i think the main reason is because many kia owners never go back to CNC for servicing. they lose a lot of revenue in this area. to make owners go back to them, they come up with this 5 yrs warranty thing. what do you think?

You have a point but I think primarily it is targeting to those potential buyers who are still hesitating between Toyota/Japan made cars which presumably has higher quality and resale value as compared to Kia and sway them over.

As Kia 'eloquently' puts it, value we are there.

1) to increase the resale value
2) to clear doubts of Kia's quality
3) to boost Kia's image that they are the only one providing 5-year unlimited warranty (shame on PML and other prestigious retailers)

Cause the forte margin is damn high so they can afford to add such stuff. New buyers better "extort" more freebies from your SE!

Got difference. Nothing to do with 3-5 yrs but the warranty is only for new purchases and does not retrospect to old customers. Sounds like one of the telcos u know?

the forte profit margin is a one time thing. just imagine how much they will earn if you let them service everything for the 5 years.

err if you look at another view... it can also mean...

because KIA car suck and easily break down that's why C&C going for 5 yrs warranty....

Cause if a product is gd and durable give me 1 week warranty more then enough... but if the product suck give me 100 yr warranty I also not interested cause when I purchase something I want to use it and not put it at repair centre most of the time...

KIA wouldn't be so naive to give 5 yrs warranty if their products CMI, will be counter productive to them....what they want is to makan the after sales servicing which bring big money for them...

I rather top up 2K and C&C give me FREE 3 years servicing include labour cost. 3 years warranty for me is enough.
