Water droplets underneath Carmats
Hi Bros,
Just collected my 1.6 SX(A) last mon nite. nice car just that pickup abit lagging but i believe will improve over time, i'm still running in. encounter a few problems, 1st is encounter water vapour inside the headlight which my SE say its due the different temperature in and outside the headlight, ask me to moniter, will improve after a while. 2nd is worse, i found water droplets underneath my carmat(driver side all the way back to passangers seat), sent in to pandan last sat for service, they told me rectifly liao, due to the aircon drainage problem. after driving a while still find it to be wet. nw took out all carmats and dry under the sun and try again. any bros out there encounter this problem??

Re: Water droplets underneath Carmats
Seem like there is a manufacturing defect for the A-pilla joining the front fender. The water will slip thru the joins if there is not enough sealant. Causing the entire front floor mat wet below! This has already happened on the forte for China market. So watch out for it for the coming rainy season.

Sent my forte in again for the same prob. this time they told me aircon drainage no prob. they suspect its due to the exhaust pipe heating up the air duct and which then condense under the carmat cos its only happen on driver side(exhaust pipe side), don't really understand what he mean. the guy who serve me told me its his first time encounter this prob. they try inslutated it to prevent heat exchange, ask me to moniter again. sad to say, I havent done my 1k servicing yet but already sent my car in twice liao.
Any bros out there can advise, i check just nw, seem like the prob not really rectifly yet. got to go bk Pandan and make noise liao.

It's the A-Pilla join leaking! I have mentioned it in my previous post, that guy has the entire driver side floor wet just like you, please descibe that to them. Or print out the photo to show them.

well guy... I realise that our driver side door when u open fully... see inside it.. u will see a rubberer stopper kind of thing that allow wire to go through the door to the car cabinet...
I found that mine is hanging in the air... and i push it in to fix the hole...
few nite ago I go and check on another fellow forumer car and found the same issue...
the rubber stopper which should be push nicely in to fill the hole to prevent water going in to the car cabinet is hang outside the air...
just check and try to fix it in to the hole.
I think is the case for our local forte water into cabinet issue...
