And forte manual handing is smooth, super smooth..in time to come, my skills will be smoother

Manual Ex driver. Still not use to biting point currently but like you mentioned. Forte handling is very smooth.

Still waiting for my EX(M) to come.
Is the biting point really that bad for forte?

biting point is light IMO..but i will get used to it soon!

No lah, It's just me not used to it yet.

need to accelerate alot inorder not to stall? most of the time how much the manual driver rev to b4 release half clutch?

took me a few months to really get used to it....it is not so bad now but sometimes still stall engine during parking.....

i nvr acelerate de..i release half clutch then the car will crawl.. then i will acelerate to gain speed

that's not too bad. manual is fun~! good choice~!

Yes engine stall when doing reverse parking. Need to rev up to 2K when engage first gear or reverse gear.

But manual still fun to drive it can do free gear and engine brake.

Yo Yo Manual EX Forte here haha.. Have yet to collect my ride..

To feel in control, drive a manual.

Mine is easy to drive, stalled in first gear on occasion but now adjusting well by having higher revs at 2k-2.5k rpm. Half-clutch did not work well when nearing servicing... likely the engine oil degraded badly...

When you got caught jam in causeway it is also the place that can test how good is your skill on manual gear.

Every time go causeway must test... very tiring leh

I think is not about skill but your leg muscule whether you will get ka sing anot.

i will definitely ka seng, cos after gym always nuar.
but i just KPO come say hi to all manual drivers.

no choice lor, not we want to test our manual skill, is the jam test us.

Fun of driving a manual ,with CVVT you could feel the "back pressure" when u need to accelerate w/o down shifting. Nothing beats when UR in "control" some more we've got 5 speed as compare to 4 speed auto for better FC. Plus we've got strong left leg muscle when we're stuck in a jam.

care to share more about cvvt? whats that

agree.......despite this serious handicap...I still prefer manual...

1.6 SX (M) Santo Blue here

Initiate 1st few days kana stall but now i also get used to it liao. Presently, no stall... Actually, if your engine is idle at abt 600rpm will easily kana stall engine situation if u release the clutch too fast.
So 2 suggestion to move off w/o worries.

1) if RPM too low, suggest next servicing to tune up the idling to 800rpm to have a smoother ride.
2) if u don 1 to have high RPM (save petrol), u have to master the skill to control/hold the half clutch steadily. But major drawback ka si beh sng during JAM..

this Santo blue looks very nice(fierce), reminds me of subaru blue too

no $$ buy Subaru then Forte lor.... buay su hor subaru lehh..

subaru is not in the top 10 most popular vehicles in sg but CF is!

For a start, you can purposely stall the engine repeatedly..then you will catch the stalling point and half clutch better

I remembered when i was learning, my instructor's car, i just use clutch release and no accelerator. But seems that need some tunning of the clutch for that right?

Does your clutch have a free play when u step before you feel some resistance? it does produce a irriating sound when u release the clutch too fast because of the free play.

And does your gear stick produce a soft plastic knocking sound when there is vibration in the car(example you acceralate using a higher gear for a low speed thus causing the car to vibrate)

Other than tat good car good car, but i find the gear ratio a bit too high.

I am certainly one hard-core fan of MT with my 1.6M SX to run about.

No need to practice half clutch too often lah... just squeeze the gas pedal a little for the vroom vroom, more like sports car feel when parking...

Even if CVVT, I feel the back pressure missing when in fourth and fifth gear... When joining expressway in fourth gear like always cannot catch up with traffic, anyone else shares this feeling?
