Stones hitting undercarriage also got hear sometimes. So can differentiate one.

Changed my windscreen already , they WASHED THE CAR AS WELL , but the car was dirty to me , more like the dirty the car instead of washing it .

accelerator stuck under floor mat? wah..

"It was unclear how many led to crashes but the inquiry was prompted by a highspeed crash in August in California of a Lexus barreling out of control. As the vehicle hit speeds exceeding 120 mph, family members made a frantic 911 call and said the accelerator was stuck and they couldn't stop the vehicle."

the call back was because an accident had occured.. looks like kia will look into this only when wind screen crack lead to accident..

Damn, my 6th day and my windscreen cracked on NSE on the way to KL!!! I'll only be back on Monday. Trying to get SE to see how to deal with it if the whole thing crash down in KL. The crack is getting bigger and bigger....

Mine's installed with RikeCool. Hopefully that will hold the windscreen till monday. Called CnC to make noise already and told them if I require towing service, I will pass the bill to CnC whether they agree or not, since it's only the 6th day.... CRACKED WINDSCREEN ! - Page 2 316913

...... looks like CnC's windscreen really failed. can get the windscreen installed at outside workshop? think third party windscreen is more reliable than CnC's.

Until we find out what is wrong better go back to CnC to repair. Might be due to structural problem as mentioned by someone. In that case, nothing to do with the windscreen itself.

i remember picanto also has windscreen problem. the result they got is that the windscreen is too thin for our tropical climate and flying stones in the road.

Ummm.....i think it might be the chasis alignment and not the windscreen problem (because CNC keep saying that this is the new and better windscreen for those who changed). Just my thought.

HOW DO YOU TEST YOUR WINDSCREEN? To test your windscreen, you need to park your car under hot sun for at least 2 hours, then go over harm at reasonable speed. If never break, drive to the highway and increase the speed gradually to 100KM. Keep doing this, if your windscreen can withstand heat, hump and wind. Then yours is ok. My Kia is also 6 days but so far no sound, but i am expecting this will happen to me either sooner or later, so my fingers are on the number of the cnc every time i drive.
This is lose lose situation for both the seller and the buyer. They need to solve this man.

Mine didnt kena any heat , just drove like normal ,but a day after it cracked , i went up to 105KM and i realise the crack became longer .

Its a SX. the hairline crack is slightly above the left side of the IU unit. I wll probably request to change after my 1st K servicing. 500km more to go before service. Hope will not have a big crack before service.

ya lor.... if later hairline cracked became multiple cracks all over then CnC may not be able to confirm if it is cause by stress cracked and warranty claim may become a problem.....better for you to let them confirmed first....

Finally I'm safe in Singapore. Drove from KL to Singapore with the super huge crack above the IU and a very big "U" crack near the middle of the screen... scary... sent to CnC today and can collect tmr evening.. together with my 1k servicing and GPS+rev cam installation.. better not crack again, else, I'll make big noise, again..
