Memorable / unique places in SG

HALO guys..

made payment for my KOUP and waiting for COE, testdrive, shipment..

Well the guys here are great (ladies too - met a female KOUPian recently.. How cool is that!!).. Well, upon dreaming of the arrival of my car, i have though of poisons, meet ups etc etc..

The purpose of this post - Can ForteOwners share some getaways in SG?? remembering back in those days where we take bus, MRTs... imagine how wonderful it will be if thr's a car... you can go special places whr only easily accessable via cars...

I will start some:
Marina Bay(c ships, slipping wines)
a western restaurant near Seletar Air Base(1-9 grades of Spicy Buffalo Wings)
or
any special places whr u say hmmm.. i will take my GF to when we got our first car..

GD things must share share... Lets flood this post man!!! CHEERS!!!

If you love nature and greenery the best places are the Singapore Botanic Garden and the HortPark in Alexandra Road.
Beautiful trees and exotic flowers and even fruits trees too. Here are some of my photos for you viewing pleasure.
Free parking between 12 noon to 2pm, and have lunch at the car park food court, the former Taman Serasi hawkers

seletar airport 1 is call sunset bar and grills and the buffalo wings has a secret lvl 24 hehe

can try sunset walk at changi, cranwell road.. nice view of the sunset..

jurong hill beside jurong bird park, good view of industrial area.. great view at night..

marina barrage and marina south pier..

When i riding my Super4... went to explore a lot of places liao... Now bit sian

More 2nd link places .. .hahahaha

The most memorable for me is Bedok Reservoir.... at that time, it was not so developed..... where I had night walks with my ex ... hand in hand.... then sit under the shelter.... and you know what lah... at that time, in the night it was very very quiet, being having less flats around.....

ano.. i remembered u ever mentioned abt the Eagle Ranch in Port ****.. got hear of some happenings over there before ah? coz I juz went there recently and got a Chinese guy told me quite a few stories leh.. not very good wor.. but the place is very nice.. Sadly, not many ppl leh..

Where is this Eagle Ranch port??

Eagle Ranch is in Port D**kson (more commonly known as P.D.), Seramban, it's 3 hour drive from JB or 1 hour drive from KL. This is the sea-side resort town for pple in KL (one of the nearest place when KL pple can see the sea).

Eagle Ranch is a chalet type of lodging with some (not a lot) activities like horse riding for kids, etc

I was at a water chalet in PD last weekend but didn't vist this place this time, hehe

the place there is ok, the accomodations are nice and cosy !!
2 types of accomodations :
1) Red indians tents, bikers can park the bikes outside directly the tents (aircondition)
2) Big cow boy wagoons, 2 storeys also quite cosy
we good leg body massage, spa, jacuzzi, bow and arrows, the restaurant food there is nice and cheap, at nite still have bbq buffet.

Ohhh!! In PD. Thought in spore. Hahaha!! :-)

But what kinda 'happenings' dandeana talking about?? :-)

marina @ keppel bay beside vivocity <-- this is a nice place to go, but it close quite early about 11pm i think. i remembered i went around 11 plus and the carpark was closed already.

but the road leading to the keppel bay is nice ! with the road lights litting up the road all the way

Thank you guys... really have so much to share... have noted the unique places however, overseas seems kinda too far for me.. LOL....

Its good to live in a kampong style once in a while, you will break free from the fast running of the environment in sg and you will envy kampong life lolx

Yeah!! Me thinking of resigning, take out all my money and discover the whole of malaysia!! One small town after the other, one small kampong after the other!! :-)

When u are growing up in Kampung, they are jus part of your life. After u get out... a few mosquito bites is enough to ruin ur day.. .HAHAHHA

ano.. yah.. unclean stuffs.. coz we went there last wk and wanted to check in.. The PRC worker there who worked for 7 yrs told us stories lor.. and he recounted events of ppl mati inside the tepee, the kampung chalet and drowning cases in the pond nearby there... Anyway, dat fella oso look very scary lah... I din see many ppl staying there wor... sigh..

Punggol 17th Ave... Currently Punggol Marina.. Nice place to chill out...
Highly accessible by private transport only



You can choose not to turn left into 17th ave but wack all the way straight to Punggol Jetty. Thats the original location where pp board ferry to OBS(Outward Bound School)


THat place has been developed into a very nice beach one the right side the runs for like 1KM




Fine sand and family picnic is a common sight during weekends.
Still got pp fish at nite !

me not scared.. but it's my family lor.. coz all are ladies leh.. except for my little nephew.. i'm more concerned abt their safety rather...

Actually the more afraid you are, the worst the situation seems. Your brain/mind is very powerful!! In this case not for the right reason. :-)

Me and my family lived in a house in JB for like 4 to 5 years that was quite famous to be haunted locally. The previous owner was shot in the porch whilst getting out of the car. It was abandoned and vacant for many years before my dad bought it on auction. And before we bought it, it really looked like it was haunted. It looked like you know one of those houses on the hills with big trees and black walls and you cant see inside and the house is more or less the view blocked by the trees, you see on tv/movies.

It also had pigeons living in the roof so they would make their souns that added to the 'scariness' of the place. Plus the original gate faced a road. So thats why it was unsold for many years too. All this signalled haunted and bad luck but my family doesnt mind and we got the house cheap and made money of it when we sold. Hehehehe!! :-)

So, even if you believe in stuff like that, as long as your conscience is clear and you have not done anything to offen 'them', you have nothing to fear. :-)

errrr fyi for sunset bar and grills theres 10 levels, theres 2 secret level of 30 and 35. lvl 35 only available with booking and appointment beforehand i think.. but level 30 enough to kill.. trust me!!! I TRIED

Dempsey is nice. But drive with care. Cos there like no real system. Hahaha!! Where most of the restaurants are. And if you go on a weekend night, be prepared to walk or hand over your car to the valet/jockey. :-)

Ohhh....'Oshh' is quite a nice place to chill out too. :-)

Most high 'crass' and a bit 'atas', but the best is, you can go there eat durian too!! Hehehe!! One of these days I going to go eat durian full full, then go into one of these 'high crass' joints, especially those with many angmos, and burp to the max!! Hehehe!! Best if can fart also!! Hahahaha!! :-)
