[DIY] Air-con insulation group buy (MU: 15 Aug 2009 - 1500hrs)

most cars in the 60s, 70s do not have aircon - some got a little fan clipped to the dashboard... remember?

Well, thats cos those stupid angmos who were the ones who invented cars didnt think that ppl in this part of the world will suffer cos of the heat!!! They think just cos over on their side they dun need aircon, they never install!!

I am old enough to remember and experience sitting in cars without aircon!! :-) Well, when I was really young was the time when cars that came in started having aircons as a standard issue!! :-)

Your advise is right, go for the apprenticeship first, later then do your own DIY when you get the ride.
But don't forget the cable ties, can get from $1 shop or hardware shop. Bottle for the adhesive glue must be air tight.

me too went back to the park where we first gathered in the noon just now at around 10+pm. when turning out, think my rear left tire 'buah' kerb.......sian liao. Now so late, tomorrow then go down and check.

Cheer up chamot, I've got the same situation as u also, got my bumper hit against the pillar. consider yourself lucky that only the tail light signal crack. Try polishing it so as to clear out all the small particles so that the crack is not so obvious. As for the part where some of your paint came off at the bumper area there, I can help you repaint it.

Guys, I notice that alot of you got either your rim or backside get "buah", so take extra care as our Forte is quite high and there is alot of blind spots where we sometime miss it or due to carelessness.

So please take extra care and always double check and have plenty of allowance to do any action.

Thanks for your offer. Luckily the damage was restricted to the cracked light signal and chrome trimming (Another reason why we should fix it. Haha). The scratches to the paintwork was very minimal and will be covered by the BK.

Hehe. My wife was stunned to hear the loud sound too. I think this would be considered a very minor damage liao as the scratches were very minimal and most would be covered up by the BK.

By the way i also checked the right rear rim got no scratches. Just the tire got some white powdery-like stains (probably due to the new kerbs). Heng ah......
