Haha....same for everyone la...all new car owners here ma. The 3M car mats are $180 altogether with 1 year warranty. Decide not to save the money and go for durability so get 3M ones instead of 3A.

Your car mat is given free by SE or you go custom-made?

I custom made mine. Original 3M. At first SE want to give free, but i din wan to top up the $1K difference due to COE increase that time. So she say she really cannot throw in car mats liao cos i got free leather seats and free solar film. So i said fair enough, spend $180 save $1k . Haha.

Hmmm....overall job is ok. But maybe our car is new so when do up the CSII, we wont really see much difference cos it will still be very shiny. haha. Well, time will tell how effective it is.

Fortessimo, can I check with you.. your leather seat is black color or dark grey??

how come it look different from the black leather seat that I saw on the demo car?? yours like got little holes on the leather seats.. whereas the leather seat I saw on the forte are all smooth black??

My seats are black. Different from the current ones ar? Haha...not so sure leh. Anyway, mine belongs to the 2nd batch of arrivals if i not wrong.

Fortessimo, thanks for your speedy reply .. oh I thought its dark grey..from one of the picture you taken, it look dark grey.. ( maybe its the sunlight that made it look dark grey)

the leather seats I saw at the showroom was very black color.. so I was wondering if they got different colors to choose...

2nd batch should be February ba...i collected my car in March.

Is there a way to check which batch your Forte is from? Does the docs show?

Ermm...don't think so...but it doesn't really matter that much i guess. Maybe can try ask your SE see whether he/she knows.

As long the specs of the car matches what u is listed on ur agreement should be ok mah?

Becos my prev car is black and i had tat car for 5 years and black is hard to maintain as scratched are damn obvious. White is hard to maintain also cos it will turn yellow. Red and blue were actually my first choice colours but at tat time there were no actual colour to look at, so my worry is the colour will not turn out to be wad i expect. The first time i saw Dark Cherry, i find tat it is quite a unique colour. So since dunno wad red and blue looks like, i choose Dark Cherry lor. If ask me choose again, it will be a headache between Red, Blue and Dark Cherry also. Haha...

Red - Fierce
Blue - Bengish
Dark Cherry - Mature

All above is just my opinion. If i had gotten red or blue, i would probaly change my rims to black with red/blue trimming or matt gold rims like the Subaru.

Fortessimo, thanks for your reply..I dont have the chance to see the real forte in red and blue.. ( these 2 colours seem fierce though).. haha, I was considering among blue, black, bright silver and dark cherry.

To me,

Santorini blue - like a pop color, stand out, and abit beng ( but dont know it can be nai kan a not)

Spicy red - quite fierce, also stand out color ( like a chilli padi color)

Black: - I thought it quite sporty, and fierce too ( but black may be a boring color because my bf also drove a black car for the last few years)

Bright silver, at first i thought silver meant for ah pek, until I saw the real unit at ubi showroom, it look rather sporty and bigger with the bodykit .. it does look nice, not uncle at all.

Dark Cherry: At first when I saw this forte in dark cherry, I thought its quite a classy color.. somehow if under the shade, it can pass off as black with abit of red hue, but when its under direct sunlight, it seem brighter, I still dont know if its considered an aunt color.. i like it under the dark though..

I took a picture of light graphite and dark cherry when I was at the showroom.. and when I showed the picture to my mum.. the first thing she asked me was" are they the same car?" Of course, I replied her its same model, just different colors.

from the picture, it seem like dark cherry car ( abit mystic black) seem more classy .. haha


Maybe next time if you all have forte members gathering, can take a picture of all the colors in a row.. then will be easier to compare the color.. and see which color is love at first glance.

But since you still put dark cherry as one of your choice color if you were to choose again.. which mean you quite like this color and will choose it again... Good that you driving a forte in a color which you like.

if you see the bright silver with bodykit, you will find it nice and sporty ( when I saw it.. I was like WOW.. quite chio leh) .. think its the bodykit that makes it look not ah pek..

Silver is not for ah pek la...haha...it is for young uncles. And silver is easy to maintain.

i agree tt silver is very much easier to maintain.. all the rain marks are pretty obvious on my metal bronze.. i tot it's a color tt doesn't nid so many car wash.. but doesn't seem so lor...

If metal bronze also difficult to maintain, then Dark cherry will even be more difficult to maintain, since its darker than metal bronze...

silver is for young uncles.. which age range belong to young uncles??

I still like Silver and i think is easy to maintain, but i just prefer black n white over all other colors.... kekeke

hi, i realise u bought the car at 44999, but how come u manage to get a SX with that amt? btw, also realise tat u manage to remove all the words cerato forte from the car. how did u do that without leaving any stain on the car?

Yes, i am one of the few lucky ones to be able to get the 1.6(A) SX at $44999 with free leather seats and solar film. Got my COE on the first bid, just before they officially launch the Forte. Thereafter, my SE ask me to top up due to increase in COE but i was reluctant to do so as all the necessary paperwork has been done and deal secured at the said price. Was glad my SE nvr give those f*** up attitude when i insist that i dun wan to top up. Hence, on collection day i gave her a small red packet as a token of appreciation.

As for the Cerato Forte and C&C logos, i slowly took them off with the help of fishing line. BE VERY CAREFUL! You will scratch your car if you dun have the patience. I had some minor scratches but it can be polished off.

lucky u. wah. so dangerous to take them off. gonna get my husband to do tat liao. i no patience.
