Brisk LGS plugs.
Hey guys, was wondering if the Brisk LGS plugs are suitable for our Koup. Anyone tried yet?
AphelioN- Newbie
Re: Brisk LGS plugs.
If you are driving a 1.6 Koup, get the Denso Iridium Power IXUH22 will be sufficient, quite a few bros including me are using it on the Forte which is the same engine. Half the price of a Brisk. hehe.

Hi bro, the ans is yes you can try it no probelm at all, as team forte guy have been using it so far so good.
by the way you must understand this kind of plug can only last 30,000km for Deson can last at list 80,000km
so is up to you which want you need. So far the plug in our car is very good
So I can cheap and good ha ha ha

bro dun forget that there is a differences in the material used that why the different in price for the Brisk silver they are using silver electrode where denso is using iridium. Spark plugs is all about conductivity of the electrode to be able to give a healthy spark. healthy spark = better ignition = more efficent engine = better power

1.6 Ex/Sx Koup/Forte: Brisk silver MR12 racing ($138)
2.0 Sx koup / forte: Brisk LGS (4 electrode) ($176)

silver is the best but let put it this way. why the plug maker dont make the plug and sell it to agent/maker of car and fit it in the car and when we collect the car no need to change here and change there

bro its a battle between conductivity vs durability.. does ur copper plugs last u 40k - 100k? well its ur choice u see if u dun mind every 5k take them out and brush it clean and replacing them every 10k.. it works as well as some premium plugs!

Re: Brisk LGS plugs.
must take into account the price of a silver/iridium plug vs a normal copper spark plug..If buy based on supposedly longer mileage on the former, then actually the price can let you change a few times normal cheap spark plug.

Re: Brisk LGS plugs.
You are rite bro long lasting only, if break down the price is about the same
1. eg.. one set 4pcs cost $100 can last 100,000km
2. a normally copper plug one set 4pcs cost cost $20 can last 20,00km
so just change 5 time is about the same.

Re: Brisk LGS plugs.
Ya...stock copper plugs are cheap..might as well every 5k change, have brand new plugs somemore!
Unless you want performance...
My old car before I sent for tuning, I changed to IK20L cold plugs for better dyno results...Other than that, for maintenance sake, jus stick to original and cheap plugs.

if the car is not ture ok use normally once it have tured then have no choice, due to normal plug will get heat up easy.
as my lancer have ture up and I use IK24

Re: Brisk LGS plugs.
Let me explain, for normal plug (copper) is a stock and the heat rate is very normal tyre not much diff. can't using for racing and you go very very high RMP is will give way easy.
But for iridium plug itself come with diff diff heat rate some cold plug for racing one
and with stand the high rev high heat

Re: Brisk LGS plugs.
My NGK stock plug (1 out of 4 pc) almost damaged before my 1K service. CnC replaced 4 pc for me at 1K service. At 10K service I change to Brisk silver plug, when I inspect the replaced plug(2 of them is in bad condition, yellowish leakage) because of high pressure and high temperature.
My advice to Forte owner, better change to Iridium plug which can give better pick up & more fuel saving.
Of course it last longer, I try before use for 90,000KM
My personal experience: NGK(0.6mm tip) is better then Denso(0.4mm tip).
For Forte the NGK Iridium P/N : LFR6AIX-11, can get from Autobat(Hillview branch about $18++ per pc).

Yellowish leakage between the metal head and the white ceramic body.

Re: Brisk LGS plugs.
1. Bro, the plug is very very good but the problem they have is only can last 30k.
so let put it this way every 30k you need to spend $170
2. Iridium plug can last 100k and you just spend $100
3. Normal copper plug if change at every 30k just spend $30 the most.
So from here you can choose, unless your poket is full of cash

Re: Brisk LGS plugs.
What type of plug to use depend on you car usage. If just for daily drive below 100KM/h from home to work place for short time, stock plug can liao. You most likely cannot feel the different between stock and Iridium plug. If you always on high speed above 130KM/h and long distance driving, then Iridium plug should be use because the engine temperature is hot, stock plug cannot take it for long time. For my case I always drive from SIN to Ipoh in 5.5 hour with one stop, so the stock plug fail very fast.
