erm.. bro, i not very sure wht our ride using wor but in any care will change to iridium type for better plug performance.

ya, the stock plugs can last that long but really have to check see wht they've gave us in our ride.

maybe can check with them when i send in my car for rectification next wk.

if not wrong, are all OEM de.. but by which firm, really no idea.

tried searching for kia oem spark plugs and got 1 site (http://www.racepages.com/parts/spark_plug/kia.html) indicate that the OEM plugs is Pulstar plugs..

which i nv hear before..

Guys, I just did 20k servicing for my 1.6 Forte with my own mechanic.
Original spark plugs used is Champion. I just changed to Denso Iridium spark plugs. Very smooth and great to drive with.

I believe 1.6 Koup and Forte are using the same spark plugs, IXUH22. Price at Autobacs is $23 per piece w/o installation.
I just ended a group buy at $16.25 per piece.
FYI, Denso or NGK will be good enuff for Forte/Koup.
You can go for Brisk spark plugs which cost abt $130 but significance in performance will not be that obvious.

BKR5EIX-11 not suitable for Forte. It is for Toyota Altis/Vios. Correct PN should be LFR6AIX-11. I saw it at Hillview Autobacs this afternoon : $18.00/pc.

Friesl in reading:
If buy the plug from Autobacs, better pay $5 and ask them to install for you. You can witness the installation on the spot. Since you don't change the plug so frequent, not necessary to buy the toolkit.
My NGK stock plug ( 1 out of 4 pc) almost damaged before my 1K service. CnC replaced 4 pc for me. At 10K service I change to Brisk silver plug, when I inspect the replaced plug(2 of them is in bad condition).
My advice to Forte owner, better change to Iridium plug which can give better pick & more fuel saving.
My personal experience: NGK(0.6mm tip) is better then Denso(0.4mm tip).
Ceratopia in reading:
I am S'porean but I mostly stay in Ipoh, I take tour group to Cameron Highland in my Forte 2.0(Now can fly from SIN to Ipoh by Firefly daily).
