bro, you seem like an ICE expert...

I not terribly happy with my sound as well...

my friend was suggesting I change to one of those $500+ Hertz speakers.... then no need change HU.. b'coz this HU is quite okay..

What you think?.. should I upgrade the HU or the speakerS?.. heh.. OT abit..

Upgrading speakers will definitely improve the SQ, but the stock HU may not have enough juice to bring the speakers to full potential. You may want to add a 2 or 4 channel amp if you are upgrading your speakers.

I have tried the stock HU before I changed, and it is pretty decent as far as stock is concern. But one thing I don't really like is the built in 6 disc changer. I find it very clumbersome and slow.

No the steering wheel control cannot be used now. But there may be a module to connect as mention by Bro Terrier but I have not check it out yet.

My bodykit came only about half a month faster than my car, and I think if I never pester, it'll take longer. But after seeing a few newly collected Forte with the bodykit, I was so pissed off that I bugged my SE.

Alpine, you have good taste. Nice clean sound, hands down. Cleaner sound as compared with the 200-203 models which has DVD, which will ******* the song reproduction. Going for 2 way or 3 way?

At the moment still 2 way passive. Hoping to go 2 way active once I got the funds to add a subwoofer. 3 way will be a bit tough on my wallet, but that will be ideal.

I agree, if sound quality is what you want, then the 98xx series is still the best (other than F1 Status....).

These emblems are basically DIY replacement, I think there is a thread somewhere where someone had shown how it is done.

There is 2 type of panel bro Terrier is bringing in. One for double din and one for single din. Mine is for single din. You still can check out with Terrier when he will bring in the stuffs again.
