The reverse gear pull up catch is sort of a European design. Usually found in European cars. Ford Mondeo is one of them with this feature (Drove it before when I was in Europe)

Actually I'm very in love with my Koup now, of course love it as coupe style, most of all, I took the step to get a manual!!! (Manual drive had been lingering in my mind when i bought my first car which is Auto Civic 6 years ago...) Thanks to my understanding GF

I actually nearly had a very serious accident few years back (Touch Wood) i dozed off split sec when in my old drive.... somemore i was on express way 1st lane (Tons of cars behind ). Luckily i woke up in time (Car kanna some scratches on right side) Phew...sweat man

I don't know about the rest, but I always feel that there is more stopping power for manual car as you can use both foot brake and engine brake at the same time to slow down the car. For auto, there is always the feeling that the car wants to keep pushing forward.
But driving an auto is definitely boring....

Believe is individual preferrence (Some of us here is just Manual in heart during my previous drive i always secretly admire other cars wif manual stick should have drove manual in the start )
