So far been using SPC and at some outlets, you pump 40 bucks they give you $3 car wash.

Anyone knows if Esso or Caltex's promotion with DBS.
Seems like only SPC has deal with DBS and Esso but only for their platinium card.

Introducing this thread for everyone to update petrol promotion going on currently.

because recently i felt being coned to pump petrol in esso!

for me, current best place to pump petrol is caltex as i get to enjoy $3 off every $50 petrol pump ontop of all credit card discount.

i got to know from my friend that esso also have similar promotion so fuel low and i happened to pass by esso so i went in. checked with the staff and they claimed pump $40 get $2 off, $70 get $4 off etc.. so ok lo i pump $70.

after everything i look at the receipt.. only 10% was discounted from my citibank dividend card. where is the $4 discount? so i check with the counter staff again and she said, oh if you get the $4 discount, the credit card discount will be 5% instead of the original 10% so we did a calculation and felt the 10% discount from credit card is much worth it.

what the @#$#%^& $4 out of $70 is 5.71% discount lo! i rather they give me $4 discount instead. their math fail one and didnt even tell me when making payment. how can like that cheat customer. kns, so i here hope all of you not to be conned and all go caltex to prevent being cheated.

it would be good for your case to get 10% for dividend card.. too bad that esso dun give that $4 rebate add on to the existing credit card discount. we both kena conned by esso.. kns.. and they really need to get counter staffs good in maths who know how to calculate for the customers. .

think abt 2 months ago, Esso still accept $2 discount voucher for every $40 spent...
So, if i pump $80, i will get 10% off... and i can use 2 x $2 voucher to offset...

$80 (price of petrol pumped) - 10% discount = $72
$72 - $4 (2 x $2 discount voucher) = $68

now, they say use voucher dun have 10% off... Discount voucher only give 5% off...
