Performance mods(almost UKP 15,000 worth!) for plain-vanilla family sedans, that is. It's all about what the car was designed for in the first place... Everything else just adds weight and the placebo effect. PERIOD. Neutral

Performance mods covers a huge spectrum...maybe if you can be more specific and with proper proof than post. Otherwise, I just wasted 10secs.

Well, pardon my not furnishing enough details in a post where links for the videos I mentioned had already been posted. And really, if 10-seconds are really that important to you, you wouldn't be here in the first place, would you?

And as far as proof is concerned, the caveat for the post had already been mentioned in the title.

Relax lah. TopGear has always been known to be quite unscientific in the way they do things. Jeremy Clarkson is also known to be an extremely biased person. Anyway I watched the 3 clips, and I can say that although each item they tried to mod would potentially improve performance, they just do it in the worst possible way (with the exception of the engine tune-up and racing rubber).
