Integrated GPS Option

When I was at the LengKee showroom today, I saw the display car with the autofolding mirror built-in, and there's a touchscreen GPS integrated onto the middle section of the dash where the clock used to be.

I'm not sure of the brand, and sorry I don't own a camera phone, so I can't show you guys any pic of it. But I asked my SE and he said it's a $1000 option on top of the car listed price, and it's not standard equipment. Looks nice, but for $1k I'll rather go buy a Garmin Nuvi with a much larger screen and at 1/3 the price.

guess they are putting in the features bit by bit to test the response. Like the Bk, put in for a while and take out liao.

Few months later, maybe there will also be press to ignite~ haha

Take out? You mean the bodykit option is no longer available for the current booking ones?

I guess the BK will still be available only upon request

Dont think Bk is available FOC anymore.

My friend wanted to book a forte as well but was told no more BK, so now he is pending again.

Wah..heng for me then..I was asking the SE how much would the BK cost if I didn't opted for it and wanted it afterwards..he said $1.5k..

But he told me he would rebate me $500 i didn't want the BK when I booked my car back in April..

Bro, i was told by my SE tis thingy still under pilot trail not yet ready, once ready my SE will inform me (the price) cos me still awaiting my car in Aug/Sept.

Sorry I really wished I could have taken the pic that day..I was just trying out the auto-fold mirror when I saw the GPS..but haiz..the nature of my job..I've not owned a cameraphone for more than 10yrs..

What do you all think of this? Is it nice? Worth to do?

Looks nicely integrated, but at that price, wouldnt a portable GPS be a better choice? If the reverse cam is included can consider. Any idea on the brand of the GPS and what map software it uses?

I think it's confirmed touchscreen based on the pic.

i find the integrated gps look unnatural. One look can tell it is not original part.

Need to ask meeoows's friend if there's some brochure for it with the details, I think that's the only way to mount it since the panel below is already fixed. My guess is that it's a local fitting and not factory fitted so the best way to mount it is on top, thats why it's doesnt look so natural.

it's touch screen and the SE say it comes with reverse cam. My friend forgot to check what software it's using. but...to be frank, it doesnt look very nice leh.

dont think it look nice on it. screen looks abit too small.
prefer to buy a seperate GPS instead.
