har... will it make ppl feel a bit of unhappiness ah? coz some ppl may end up paying more for COE esp those who still haven't gotten their COE yet leh.. fingers crossing tt the COE will remain low for the moment still.. me not sure watz the views from the members here..

This coming round of COE will definately be higher coz quota for COE reduced but demand remains high.

Due to the good responses, likely price will be up..COE will be up too as Sept another quota cut.....after doing the sum, if topping up 1-2k is worth it, should go for it...don't forget u r getting the higher COE...

ehh i got a question here. seeing the 5 cars listed here all is auto, mine is 14,075 for 1.6SX Manual, even lower than bro nocash's EX. is it normal or am i too low? given that manual buying price is cheaper by 3k

If u plan to drive the car all the way till scrap 10yrs....don't bother.

Otherwise, 14,075 and 14,499 diff not alot also... it's peanuts....

i was juz wondering and curious why SX OMV is lower than EX, and fellow SX is so much higher than me. im concern something is wrong somewhere although AD is generally safe.

then wat if i change car before 10years? how is the maths done?

what accessories u have for your car,...locally fitted or from factory.... things that are fitted from factory are included in OMV...

Actually, the car's OMV is an indication of how much you will have to pay for taxes for the car to have it imported in.

The taxes consists of the components:
1.Registration Fee (RF) - $140
2.The OMV iteself
3.Additional Registration Fee (ARF) - 100% of OMV
4. Excise Duty - 20% of OMV
5. GST - 7%

Or, to simplify, it's 2.29 times the OMV.
Therefore, for an OMV of $14,075, you actually paid $32,287.
For OMV $14,499, you paid $33,256.

It's been said that when you buy a new car, you lose about $20K straight away on the first day of ownership. This $20k refers to this taxes.

i dunno mine is from which batch. all i know is that when i went to book my car in mid april, my SE told me the model and color i want is already at pandan garden. so i guess should be 1st few batch bah..

there is also nothing we can do about OMV. but juz find it weird that mine is quite low in my point of view

Dun worry its normal for manual cars to have lower OMV than auto, comparing urs with EX(auto) actually nt much diff.
