Booked my Bright Silver Forte EX (M)!

Helo to All Forte bro and Sis out there,

Some info on my Booking...

Booking date: 31 Dec 2009 @ LK

Price: S$50499

Got an OPC so - S$17000

Deposit S$2000 to SE, didnt have any rec as I just dropped in to see then book already haha.

Final Loan amt: S$31500/-

Loan approved by DBS @ 2.2% 2 days ltr.

Mine is also the 6 bids non-guaranteed.

COE Rebate @ S$10000/-

SE Gave:

1. Alarm
2. Reverse Sensor
3. Rike Cool Window flim (Valued @ S$700) My friend help get for me as my SE said OPC normally dont come with many accessories.

Friend also told me that 3A mats customised will be only less then S$50 bucks, any bros/ sis here got experience?

Std will be 15in Sports rims and think my rears will be drums... Love the all rd discs man...haiz

Missed the 6th Jan COE Bid but think I also didnt get the 20th Jan one... cos my SE didnt call me to update.

Also saw on LTA Web that COE went up by alot!

Got the bright silver EX(M) model cos I love the manual's pwr!

Est Delivery will be mid Mar as was told that my model no stock and waiting for the shipment to arrive from Korean in Mar.

Test with 4 ppl in car and car still pulled strongly! Test drive route must say is a little short but okay haha!

Just like to ask ya all what you all think abt my situation? Good chance to kena COE before 6 bids end? Or SE will ask for Top up?

Also Kia recently revised S$1500 down on prices to 'attract' their 'share' of customers as Toyota, Mazda and the likes were slashing thier prices big time... I called my SE to see if i could get it cheaper haha but he said it was a little marketing strategy to get bookings away from the other companies but highly likely that those booked on the lower prices will have to top up for COE. Where as I will most prob will not have too as my was booked earlier and @ a higher price. Priority wise COE will also bid for me first.

Will any bros/ sis here advice if there are any other factors affecting my getting the coe for my OPC against a Normal plate?

I think the market for car prices and interest rates are like this:

Car Price Low - Interest Rate High!

Car Price High - Interest Rate Low!

Think it all balances up eventually haha!

But glad that I got the 5yrs unlimited mileage thingy.

Hope u can get ur car soon. COE bidding, u can't do anything abt it but only wait for C&C. They will have the final say in who gets allotted or who gets to bid this time round..... But nevertheless, all the best to u!

Love the silver as i think its a classic colour which thru time should remain just as nice if we maintain it well!

Some more if dirty will just look like darker shade of silver haha!

Take what the SE said with huge barrel of salt.
Collection in March is SOP as 6 bids = 3 months.

If the COE continue to rise, depends on who top up first/most will get the car.
There is no such thing as priority or fair play. money talks.
It also depends on how far the SE is willing to go the extra mile for you (and therefore fair play to other customers will be compromised).

Even SX also not sport rim. Is Alloy rims. Ex also using Alloy rims.

I waited like 7 weeks from booking till collection...

every night have to down few litres of kopi hahaa

Yup indeed the main hurdle to cross now is the COE no doubt...

Aft get COE hopefully @ next bid then will count down like you bros till collection day haha!

Really hope no topping up, am will wait till th 6th bid if necessary too cos dont wanna top up unless the coe cont to rise above 21 - 22k...

Yuppie! Silver's the colour for me hee hee! after studying all colours, decided that silver will carry its age along with me well hee hee!

Think the most impt upgrade most bros do here is rims first and foremost! Think I will get the kia 17inch sports rims with new tyres think they look nice enough already!

I really love the silver on the Mercs man!

Their Silver Arrows Theme is really a colour that looks good even when their cars age!

Imagine a C/E/S class in Silver colour, even AMG their tuning arm also chose silver as their main colour!

Their C63 AMG is a beautiful car! Got one sellin on Sgcarmart!

However, that said, Audis like the RS4 look really good in Pastel Yellow, Blue, Red and of course Matte Black which I happened to spot along the road, an advan version! Simply beautiful haha!

So in sum, Silver is a good colour!

Think if can add in BBS forked design rims with polished rim lip and brushed alloy apokes would further enhance the look of our silver Forte!
