Hi,

I'm interested to get a Forte, got a used 2.0 version is selling at the price of a brand new 1.6, is it worth to get the 2.0 instead? Will the fuel consumption very big difference?

Thanks

It depends on how much is the COE and what your budget is. Forte 2.0 used to sell at the current 1.6 pricing so, it's up to you to do the calculation. If you are tight on budget but wants a 2.0 Forte, then I guess you may want to consider. Maybe you want to give people here more idea as to how old the car is, mileage, etc.

As for the FC, it very much depends on how you drive it I guess. Any other bro want to comment?

FC definitely worst than 1.6L. 2.0L leh, should drink more than a 1.6L, right?

And also, road tax does not increase proportionately. The difference between a 1.6 and a 2.0 is almost double. Do your finances and then decide.

I'm driving a Magentis 2.0 and I don't really feel THAT much of a difference between a 1.6L and a 2.0L.

Serious ah? LOL!!!!! How bout 1.6 EX? Change the rims and add accessories if you want. You still have significant savings... I wanted a 2nd hand forte but my wife and mum is against 2nd hand cars... So no choice need to fork out more cash to buy 1st hand. Sigh...

Actually if you ask me, Option 2 is not too bad, but Eviltrap mentioned, the road tax is almost twice as much. If you really got some spare cash, maybe can consider get a new one. 1 Year old Used 2.0 VS New 1.6 332362

huh? what is the problem here?

You are already willing to pay $53K -$57K for the 2.0L

A brand new SX1.6A is around the price, right? 1 Year old Used 2.0 VS New 1.6 Icon_scratch

the problem is which is a better deal...

I'll advise the ts to just look at the money factor for this... can u afford the higher taxes and fuel? if can then go for it lor... but get the lower mileage one though, for 4k more u get one that's 3 times newer... then again, make sure u like the colour, cause u can't choose that unlike a new car...
