Re: Forte with high mount rear spoiler
this looks like the civic type-r spoiler...
should be LTA friendly
but forte is fwd, having a spoiler would only increase fc and reduce performance

Re: Forte with high mount rear spoiler
Normally if the spoiler is not high then half of the rear windscreen is ok when going for the inspection.

Now you say this high type type-r lookalike spoiler is LTA friendly..
stock civic type-r is surely LTA approved before selling to mass market
the spoiler is as shown in the picture here
http://www.sgcarmart.com/new_cars/newcars_photos.php?CarCode=10393&CUR=2#P
pictures don't tell the full story but from the pictures attached they look to be the same spoiler to me, so why civic type-r can have this spoiler but forte cannot?
should be able to approve even without taking out

sorry, didn't mean to sound rude to you in any way... actually i was thinking about racing fwd vehicles having rear spoilers
eg civic type-r, why would it need such a big spoiler when its fwd in the 1st place...
anyway my friends are telling me to get this type of spoiler for my koup...
but i think its too fierce already la... haha

I think is a matter of factory-fitted or non-factory fitted.

Re: Forte with high mount rear spoiler
doesn't mean FWD can't put spoiler ma..integra also got their DC5 spoiler...doesnt mean down force front will lift or what..it depends on design and shape of spoiler.

but having such a spoiler will not increase performance or handling in any way right?

don't know if the picture can be seen, but saw this in someone's FB, let that someone come in and admit it...

i would say only if the spoiler is wind tunnel tested for that particular make of car and even then only effective at higher speeds.
other than that...only for looking nice..and it will add weight.
