Changing Job soon...

Secured a new job and going over to new company after Lunar new year.. new year new job!
quite happy cos this is the job i have been looking for quite some time.. i was told tat pay increment for now is between 10-15% (i asked for 25% u see).. nevertheless i still get wat i asked for but subject to certain terms n conditions.. was wondering it is true tat generally new job offer for pay increment now is between 10 to 15%?

increment is also base on which industry you are in.

3% annual increment is quite standard.. wat im refering is increment for switching jobs.. =P
Yah, i know depends on industry.. tats why i used the word generally lor.. when times r better was abt 20- 25% bah.. now maybe 10-15% lor...

And there is another factor: Depends on how much the recruiting company needs you to be onboard.

my personal opinion is 10% to 15% increment is not a good move unless you have been in your company for less than 2yrs. If you calculate all your other benefits, the 10% to 15% may not be enuf to cover the lost of benefits. What I meant here is generally companies provide 14days of annual leave in the 1st 3 yrs of your employment. After that, it will be 21days. Do the math..

I will only go for another job if the increment is at least 20% and if it is the company who came looking for you...i'll be looking at about 40% at least.

btw, i am also changing jobs.. hehehehe

ok guys, as far as increments are concerned, it all depends on ur base salary....

the company that i am in are all based on tenure.. everyone gets the same amount of annual leave. Except for those expats who get 2 more weeks of home leave.
