Re: Electric heated door mirrors
Guys no need to see preview specs cos it's confirmed heated mirrors. I hope you guys are talking about the side mirror and the the side window.
Ok why i know is heated, because I broke my mirror once and I saw wiring behind the mirror jus like your read window to heat it and prevent water vapour from foming. The broken mirror is still wif me and I can show it to your guys this meet-up.

nocash, the "front" refers to the left & right mirrors wherereas the rear refer to the back windscreen which have a lot of wire across, understand

I've driven for so many years..my side mirrors never ever got fogged, only sometimes got raindrops stuck on it during heavy rain..why need to heat it?

Re: Electric heated door mirrors
Heating function is not needed in our kind of weather.....
The button on the left side named "Front" when depressed will start the a/c fans blowing from the vents located right in front, just under the windscreen..... so what is that function.... during cold morning in temperate countries (winter), in still of dew, they have frost.... your windscreen, wing mirrors will be coated with a layer of ice. If you do not have heater function, you will need to scrap the wind screen to have vision.
What I did last time was, before I get out of the house on frosty mornings, I would go out to the porch, start the car, put on the heater, blowing in the front vents as well as heating up the car. Go inside, have a quick breakfast, then run into the warm car and drive off.......
In Singapore, your front windscreen can get fogged up on a humid day, when your inside temperature is much colder then outside.... wiper function will do in that case.

Re: Electric heated door mirrors
Ahh...Kapitan I see. I think they should scrap this feature and give us free auto-folding side mirrors instead, would be more useful for local conditions.

I will say it's useless, but think it as an addition function which alot of cars do not have it.
And also you should be pround that Forte came with so many specs with this kind of price and for the size of this big car. Not every car is perfect, there is bound to have some thing which others car do not have it (I'm only comparing with those normal sedan car and not those very very exp one ).

Re: Electric heated door mirrors
though its a free good to have features.. but at least we check that it does built into our car.. dont later like the immobilizer issues.. stated YES.. after tested and result is NO.
So at least we knew we are not cheated over good to have features. ^^

I think all the while immobilizer is not part of the features for Singapore forte, at least that's what my SE told when I booked my SX.

Re: Electric heated door mirrors
no.. in the pre-launched batch.. the specs list stated immobilizer and being told with immobilizer.. but after tested.. it actually doesnt fitted with immobilizer for SG model... so after that subsequent batch specs list are not listed with immobilizer.
Guess pre-launched buyer know this well =)

I dun think is for front windscreen cos no wire how to heat up. Only the side mirror has got wire, so it should be this.
