Forte 80+ points, Koup only 14.
I fail to understand why there should be such a gulf.
And how nice to see, in black and white, that C&C will replace cracked windscreens up till the 10th year.....

Nonsense.

The criteria were:-

1. styling and build quality
2. ergonomics comfort and convenience
3. engineering and efficiency
4. performance, ride and handling
5. value for money

Whether the model is newly-launched or not makes no difference.

The 9 judges are all writers for Torque.

To be in the list itself is already an honour.

Out of the 16 cars in the list.
Only 5 are Japanese & Korean makes.
3) Forte
7) Nissan GTR
9) Toyota Prius
14) Koup
16) Nissan 370Z

The rest are continental cars, like VW, Merc, Audi, BMW, Porsche, Jaguar, Lambo...

Car of the Year (COTY) is chosen based on model launched within the qualifying period, in another words, they are all new cars.

As with the rest of the bros, I am glad Koup and Forte are shortlisted.

at least not there for the wrong reasons, saw a blue Koup doing a u-turn at Macpherson just now, from Boon Keng Road.

No 14 for KOUP still ok mah... to even have a Korean car at No 3 is already good. Better than expected. Will make other car makers sit up and buck up.
