Pumped Techron 95RON. Car took in 43L wif trip computer flashing i.e less than 50km remaining. Engine seems to run a tiny bit smoother now. After run-in, will try VPower.

Re: 92? 95? 98?? for ur koup...
Higher FC during run in period is quite normal. The engine components are 'tighter' and hence, more resistance. The dino oil is oso less viscous than synthetic.

Im intending to go 92 all the way... its a myth that higher grade ron petrol is better for your car.

Re: 92? 95? 98?? for ur koup...
One should pump what the manufacturer recommends. If Kia says 92 is minimum then 92 is good enough. Do they have the recommended fuel grade printed on the fuel flap?

Re: 92? 95? 98?? for ur koup...
Guys....Forte and Koup using same engine...so pump 92 will be enuff for normal drivers. If you are those who like smoother transmission, den pump 95. FC will be more or less the same, but transmission will be much smoother. I haven been using 92 on my Forte for the pass 6-7 mths. ave FC 11km/l.

Go for esso F1(97) if u pump up north, FC and power cfm better tested and proven with many tanks. Best part only RM 2.05

So any one can confirm the recommended is 92? My gut feeling tells me that for the 1.6 engine 92 should suffice.

koup is not a performance car, 92 should be more than enough

Re: 92? 95? 98?? for ur koup...
yeah. Thats pure gut feeling and experience. I also think so but usually the owner's handbook will specify it clearly.

Re: 92? 95? 98?? for ur koup...
Go check car manual should have recommended RON.
92 is sufficient...but do take note if you tune your car you can only pump higher RON (case to case)...like how my vios only can take 95 and above. -_-...lucky the FC is very good..
In US, they even have 91 RON..so 92 is good enough for non sports car.

personally always on 92, but pumped 95 last week 1st tank in sg.. can feel engine is a little smoother.. (myth maybe too..).. and always in JB will pump 95 too... personally think if price is ok 95 should be good, but 92 is more eco and pocket friendly lor..heee..
