KIA (Korean) Cars are selling like hot cakes

few months ago I was at KIA Terminal in Pyungtaek in Korea..... this terminal has two berths for ships to go alongside for loading KIAs, there is a third berth which is open for all ships, likely discharging of import cars, and also also be used by KIA for their own.....

the last time I was there, only one berth was occupied, and the terminal was half full of cars, ready for export...




Last week I was at the same terminal again and I was pleasantly surprised to note that all parking lots at the terminal is now filled, waiting for ships to come into port for loading and in fact there was not enough space for the waiting cargoes....








well, its good news for me too.....

I dun spot Koups in there!!!

wah.. got koups bound for singapore soon?

I Used a pair of binoculars and spotted Koups in there... too small to see in the pictures.... but I was in hurry to go home,.... so I left quickly...

but i do learn one new thing from that photo today.

New cars exported from the factory have white sheets covering their top! From far, looks like all white cars but your close up saws that there are actually different colored cars just that the top is covered with a white protective sheet.

Also many 2.0 forte w/ sunroof inside!

yeah.. that sheet is so called to protect the car. i think when it arrives here at PSA it will still be like that.. dunno at which pt they will remove the white sheet.

more expensive cars, like Audi and BMW have the whole car covered, including rims.... next time when I have a chance I will snap a pic...

cool. I didnt know that. I go on board car carriers every now and then but I didnt know that.

Hope there are 200 Koups somewhere in the line-up heading to Singapore.

mine is silver...... doesnt really go with other color combination....
i saw silver with matt black hood and top.... not really that good....
