hi people,

can I check if its legal to drive our OPC cars within an open car park or multi storey carpark during 7am-7pm, without putting the $20 coupon?

For example, I change the parking lot from 4th floor down to 2nd floor, or from lot #1 to lot#200 in an open-air carpark? will the fatimah summon me if she/he see me driving in the carpark during the non-OPC hours?

** My guess is it should be legal since I did not drive on the roads... but just to confirm, so I want to check with you all...

by right,, it illegal coz u still n with e intention to drive ur car. by left, no prob liao. as long u dun drive on e main road. fatimah wont issue u tiketz for driving OPC within carpark,, but its LTA u be really really scare of..

i dun think there's much to worry bro .
maybe before u drive u check ninja turtle (fatimah) 1st .

Haha..dun tink will get caught la..my previous car was OPC...always shift my car from here to there in the open space carpark!

I'm sure there is a reason why you wana shift your car..if Fatimah ask you, just tell her your reason loh..

like i mention earlier,, fatimah wont summon ur car.. they r not authorise to issue tiket for driving OPC at carpark nor speeding at carpark..

I was hoping and hope until now also no news, think they dun decide to change if after all. I can see at my MSCP almost half the cars are OPC.

I heard they are like extending the hours for saturday, maybe instead of 3pm start, they will going to make it earlier, better for OPC-car owners.. but until now, no news... think they just talk talk, no action...

but i wonder if they adjust the timing... do the current OPC-owners need to top up any money ?? or will they reduce the OPC rebate of $17K... Question

Anyone got news can share here...


haha, so regarding the shifting of car park lots within the carpark, it is illegal in the eyes of LTA??? I was thinking if an open air carpark, lot #1 is at blk 1 .. but I want to shift to #200 which is at blk 3, but all within 1 carpark also cannot meh??? i just thought its illegal to drive on the roads.. carpark is also considered road??


But LTA really have people situated everywhere to catch people driving within non stipulated timings without a coupon??? but heard the offence of being caught is somewhere around the rebate of $17k .. so its not worth to do silly things... Very Happy

Anyway i tink tat its illegal, last time when i bring my OPC for spraying. The workshop owner say must rush finish tat nite coz cannot shift the car after 7am next morn.

imho...
if opc allowed to drive earlier on sat or full day, road tax rebates will be lower for OPC owner.
bear in mind, our government are knowned to discussed topics only in facts and Figures$$$$$$$$$$...
they always need to balanced facts with figure$... and only the figure$ can be heavier than the facts. Shocked

Dont worry about shifting ur car in the car park, u still havent drive onto the road yet, as long u in the carpark no need any road coupon. u imagine weenday 7am to 7pm i want to wash car.... put $20 coupon jsut to wash car??? Very Happy
