Steering wheel vibrating Empty Steering wheel vibrating

Hi Guys,

My GF's dad just collected his Ex(A) model 2 weeks back. I test drove it and found out that the steering wheel tends to vibrate a lot when it hit over 100kph. Is this normal?

Personally i have never own a car before. So hope you guys can shed some light for me. Many thanks in advance.

hmmm... i usually hit 100 - 120 on the expressway...
no steering vibration leh... somemore i hold the steering with 2 fingers while cruising...

Nope.. its not normal... Did ur GF dad chg rims recently? My fren (not forte) went to rotate tyres during his servicing.. I think the service center nv do a good job of balancing, so end up his steering wheel will vibrate when hit 90km..

So i merely ask him to go reputable tyre shop and redo balancing, CASE RESOLVED.

We can bring it back to C&C for a check? Do we have to make any appointment before going down?

highlight to C&C and get them to do front wheel balancing. Check that your balance leads are still attached to your wheels cos my came off after driving for few months luckily the steering still alright when travelling above 100km/h.

Can.. Anytime also can.. Making appointment is to make sure only.. You reach there, they still had to entertain you no matter how..

Just maybe, just.... you exceeded the speed limit on the KPE and hand was shaking because there are camera around.

Just joking...

my uncle's car also. fully stock and has the same problem. he sent in this car today to get it fixed. think he just called his SE and complained

and ask the SE to go collect and send in the car for servicing. Nv book any appointment cause his car is just about 1 week old.

go get it checked. this should not be the case. I drove up to abt 175km/h...no vibration at all...

If it's stock tires, likely balancing issue...if after balancing still vibrate then have to resort to high speed balancing...

Should not be the case also...

Coz high speed would be to "fine tune"....

If normal balancing still cannot get rid of the vibration... may be the alignment...

my friend EX auto same Vibrating when hit 90-100km/j , the problem is rim balancing cos ex model rim install in local. not like SX model 100% from korea.

1. check wheel alignment
2. check wheel balancing
3. do high speed balancing.

should do the trick.

In Msia... these 3 would cost below 100RM.

but of still cannot solve... may be a major problem...
