I remembered only 2L one has telescopic steering wheel. 1.6L doesn't have it.

1.6 SX have. Just pull the lever below steering wheel. Then you not only can adjust up and down, but front and back also. I play with it when shopping in showroom. Like it as my current ride can only do up and down. Then I have to sit near to steering wheel and not much leg space.

Such things are only adjusted only once... unless you have 2 drivers for your car and of diff height...

SX(A) has it too....I find this function not very useful.... only use it once. The term "telescopic steering" makes it sound very complicated...lol... actually is is just a simple feature as moving it up and down.

extract this from forte owners manuals
telescopic steering wheel? Tilt10
To change the steering wheel angle, pull
down the lock release lever (1), adjust
the steering wheel to the desired angle
(2) and height (if equipped) (3), then pull
up the lock-release lever to lock the
steering wheel in place. Be sure to adjust
the steering wheel to the desired position
before driving.
hope this helps...
