haha....u will feel the need for lighter rims and to differentiate urself from the other koupians... ... guess human nature....

Re: Trade-In Stock Rims-how much shops offer u?
lighter rims = better acceleration, better mileage... if u're going for mileage then better get early to offset the costs in the long run... if going for acceleration, the less weight the better...

Stock rims...
10.5L / 100km
on 50% Highway 50% City
Currently.... still on the first 200km...
FC is about 8.5L / 100km,
however, on 65% Highway & 35% city.

your stock rims? trade in or sell?
my opinion is to sell off rather than trade-in..
might fetch a better price than trade-in since it's quite a gd looking sets of rims.

Re: Trade-In Stock Rims-how much shops offer u?
Sell them! I suspect there's some Forte guys who will be interested to get the Koup's "unique designed" rims!
I'm keeping mine stock

Anyhow, those changing Rims.. will you be changing out the Kumho tires as well?
On a side note: Kumho is posed to be taking over from Bridgestone as the official tire manufacturer for F1 after Bridgestone exits end 2010 according to a report in Straits Times today. Kumho tires might just be the next in thing!

Lighter rims usually also means... more brittle / not as "solid"... as those that are heavier.

no..
does it mean enkei forged rims are more brittle than advanti cast rims? i don't think so eh.
usually when they are forged rims, they are one piece and are stronger. If not, they won't be used on track cars like evo, where light rims are critical and rigidity is all the more impt. You won't want the rims to 'fracture' after a few monster runs on the track.

Re: Trade-In Stock Rims-how much shops offer u?
and that is why forged rims are so ex..light and structural rigidity.
cheap and decent would be sth like advanti rims though..i got 15"s on my ride at 4.8kg each.
