How often is ur tire pumped???

Hi guys.... wanna check how often/ when is the wheels pumped

Check your pressure every 2 weeks will be good....try as much as possible to pump when tires are cold, i.e less than 5km to the petrol station....if it's hot tires, release some initial hot airs then pump additional 15%-20% more....get a good digital gauge, check your tires when it's cold, adjust accordingly...

Checking every 2 weeks is the best but I do it only about once a month. I usually pump the tires with an extra 2 psi to allowed for the slow leakage that is inevitable. Yes, get yourself a good tire pressure gauge and never trust the pressure readings at the petrol station pumps. They are frequently not calibrated properly.......

i prefer 2 times every 3 months... usually when i pump petrol and if there is no queue for air, i'll pump additional 5 due to hot wheels..

Let say mine was pumped 235 (wanted 230) relatively cold, as the petrol kisok is very near to my house...if after 30 mins travelling and need to pump, likely to pump at 240.....

i spend $30 to top up all 4 tyres to nitrogen then every mth just go back for free top up...

e advantage of nitrogen is e leak is very low.. my old ride also pump nitrogen, aft driving for 1 mth went back for top up n found dat there's no leak at all..

so its gd for those who seldom chk their tyre pressure lor..

.....lately my ride seems to be less bumpy (just right)....could it be previously tire pressure too high (last charged my tires about 8 weeks ago)........anyway time to check on my tire pressure tomorrow .....pump nitrogen seem a good option for me....

Gas molecules of Nitrogen is bigger than the air molecules.. So in term of physical science, pumping nitrogen will prevent much leak as compared to air molecules..

eeehhh.. how do i noe whether the tires are at their correct pressure leh?? btw, where to pump nitrogen ah??

me oso heard good feedback bout nitro gas... its juz dat u need to pay one time after dat its free top up..

Ok, since u all talk about nitrogen gas, let me relate my experience.... my bB is pumped with nitrogen... then one day I notice that the back tire slightly deflated...drove straight to Loyang Stamford and ask them to rotate and check tires.... later the mechanic told me my tire puncture... but because of nitrogen gas, the puncture will not casue the tire to deflate all at once, ....slowly it went until i notice.... fortunate... and fortunately I also got member at Stamford, so rotate and pump nitrogen is free for my bB..... my Forte not yet got nitrogen yet...

Nitrogen is better, the leak will be slow... if normal atmospheric air is pump, air will escape very quickly....

Nitrogen is better, the leak will be slow... if normal atmospheric air is pump, air will escape very quickly....

Let say i got nitro up my tyres and went to mysia for 1 month, but during 2 weeks i find 1 tyre low on nitro.

What should i do?? if i cannot find nitro pumper.

Just pump in normal air first...back to Sillypore, go back to nitro but need to purge the tires couple of times before refilling with nitro again, if not it will be a mixtures...

so there is no danger of semi nitro n mysia air?

no problem lah.... the only thing that hold me back is the need to go back to that particular shop instead of any petrol kisok.....

in msia also got nitro pump but you won't find it at yoru nearest gas station...airplanes tyres are filled with nitro...

for nitro top up, u only need to pay once (normally $10/tyre) then its free top up all e way..

so just find 1 reliable tyre shop near ur home or workplace n go top up once a mth lor..
