EPS MODE?!?!

yesterday when i start my car the eps mode was light on and the steering was very very hard to turn. anyone know what is wrong ?

but aft i off and on again was back to normal.

happened to me once but because i off and on too fast.....did u do the same?

no leh. my car was park stationary for about 20 mins.
something wrong i guess.

just to be on the safe side, if u eps sign is lit, off . on again. dun drive off immediately....

agreed. lucky i was turning out from my parking lot then i notice steering very hard to turn.

anyway all along i feel the steering was abit too hard.

hhhmmm.... then something is wrong.... this is one of the litest steering wheel i ever used.....pls get it checked if it is consistently hard.....

i am no expert but i am guessing the battery/alternator might be the problem..
I had an Avante friend whose alternator broke down, resulting in battery not charging...whole car just 'died'.
He had problems steering the 'super hard' steering wheel, to get the car to the side of the road.
Heng we are in the carpark at that time..

Good practice to turn the key one notch to on the batt first, the EPS lights off then on the engine.

With the 4-in-1 package installed, u will not have this problem occur

Think you can try turn off and restart again but dun crank immediately let all system do some check 1st like 15secs? or if you waited too long with key at "on" position the system will cut off EPS.. so this may happen (think something mentioned in manual..IIRC)

Do you have a volt stabliser installed or done grounding?

Maybe brother who has installed these gadgets could share what the experience before and after the installation on this topic only?

Just collected my ride.... EPS turn off during normal driving.

Can any brother share on this?

Correction.... It is ESC turn off during normal driving.

if u see the "EPS off" light up.. meaning EPS is not activated.. just press the EPS button to "ON" it back.. den leave it as it is and it will always be ON..

like to check if anyone got this problem.

"EPS off" light up while driving press button also dun work, re start car ok... but at time again. Send in C&C yesterday wasted 2 hr told me brake connection loose .... just now it happen again.. anyone any idea ??

does the led lighted up often? after restart still having this issues?

do u mod any electrical stuff to your ride??

if the led goes off after restart, then shldnt be an issue.. because the car is doing diagnostic when u attempt the start the engine and failed it..

always let it finish the diagnostic before u "crank" your engine, how to know when its time to crank.. after most led goes off..

but if this problem persist often.. can be a circuit board connecting to EPS,ABS and ECS having problem.. can send in to C&C and asked them to check using EBD.. possible asked them to do replacement for that..

Know all these things because just send in my car for 10K servicing and the car still in sick bay cause of above problem.. but fault lies on me not the car as I played with too many wired liao.. =X

it light up when driving. normal start up no light, did all check, no mod, still stock .. plan if tomorrow morning happen again i going in bang table for my time wasted
