Question on using Car vacuum Empty Question on using Car vacuum

Post by Aura 4th October 2009, 11:29 pm

Does it make any sense to start the car when using the power outlet for car vacuum cleaner?

Does it strain the battery is I don?

Thanks!

Don't think the vacumn cleaner functions when the engine's off unlike the radio. I tried it with my vacumn when the engine's off...no reaction.

err... imho... even if u start ur car... the battery would not be adequately charged... u need to rev to certain RPM then can the battery be charged...
i guess those normal car vacuum manuals do not recommend to use the vacuum when the engine is on... only at 'acc on'

for me i'm using vacuum cleaner which use rechargeble batteries...
the plus point is good suction power without compromising car batts...
the minus point is can only use it less than 10mins before need to recharge...
