Bright Silver w Body Kit

Finally after months of waiting, my forte "clothing" arrives on last day of Sep. My appointment was supposed to be at 1pm. However i was asked if i could go earlier (which i gladly agreed).

I reached Leng Kee at around 12pm (had to tour around quite abit to find the entrance) and handed my keys over to a nice lady there. My forte was then sent for cleaning before the fixing of body kit. The nice lady told me that it will probably take half a day (est finishing time 5pm). So i went to the nearby shopping malls (Ikea & queenway SC) to waste my time before returning at 3pm to take a look at the work progress.

To my surprise, they have already completed fixing of the body kit for quite some time. During my inspection of the car, i noticed that there are quite a number of blemishes on the body kit. However, most of the blemishes are quite acceptable except 1.

The following are some pics i took with my hp:

This is blemish that i find unacceptable. Found in the rear body kit near to the left rear wheel.

Can you see the corner that is protruding out?


The size rear body kit doesn't really fit or aligh exactly......

The mach tech apologetically told me that he can't do anything as this is the manufacturing defect of all the body kit and even show me the same blemish on another graphite forte that they are fixing the body kit at that moment. I'm more worried that the joint of the buldging part will crack in the future.

Thanks for putting up the pics. I am getting my body kit today and appt is 11am. I made comparison with u and Leonard's BK.

Notice the gaps are not quite visible for Leonard's BK or is it cos of the angle in which the photo is taken. I will check it out by today and post mine after it is installed.

Those are not gap but the rubber strip.
I think Leonard body kit is using the silicone instead of the rubber black one.

Actually i wanted to the silicone strip but forgotten to inform the mach mechanic. Anyway the end result of the rubber black look quite nice. I like the way it contrasts the actual forte body with the body kit.

Yes i informed the lady (Lorne i think) but there is nothing much she can do also. Actually the mechanic told me that this problem exist for all the body kit.

On the safe side, i told her to state the issue on collection agreement form before signing.

Divine, you mean your orange body kit have no such problem ..... wah lau like that mach mechanic win lor .... lying so convincingly. Oh sh*t ... in tat case i think i really too naive. Reason i accepted it is that i saw Tish also have the same problem so i thought its common.

Terrier, not that i dun wan to replace ... still haven't find time to do it. Haha i saw the transformer sticker in bugis, thought that it look kind of nice. So decided to buy it to transform to evil forte

Jackohy, I just installed my BK today... everything looks ok... I didn't really take notice of the problem u mentioned. I didn't see any protrusion on the rear.

If I am not wrong... angel eye lights may give you a signed autograph from LTA.

wah yes SJR 4 series already, mine 8 series and still waiting. soon soon soon.... So far any problems when parking?

Alamak.... Hope my BK dun have such a problem... I dun think I can accept leh... I will make a big big fuss there...

No problem so far when parking but due to the body kit i quite kiasi in parking now ... park very slowly

hmm got 2 tone color?? .... i dun know leh ... to me they look the same. Maybe i color blind

haizz ... quite disappointed with the Mach ppl.

Probably have have to go done again to "talk" to them. Problem is i dun know whether they will be open on sat after 3pm as mine is OPC car. If not i have to waste another day of leave + $$ to go down on weekday ... sianzz.

C&C service not good ... Mach service also BS ... My first car experience overall not too ideal ...

i can see it unless is camera effect ...
u bring ur car under sun ....
den u see ur side bodykit n front
compare with ur body color

go under the sun and move back about 5 meters.... then the resolution will be better.... u can see if the difference is a lot....

Initially wanted to change the car plates from front to back but after viewing the square plate with BK. Looks like nicer with the square plate infront.

picture it man.... there will be no protruding lower part of the square plate.... so u will see the whole dark mouth of the bk.....

I heard they go by registration date, then by colour (they r doing those reg in June first).... I went there on Friday...at abt 4pm.... they were closed..... cos I wanted them to fix the "gap" between the rear BK and my rear bumper.
