i know the traffic on that wkend going to kill us, maybe we can start @ a wee hr, drive slow & steady, just in time for a breakfast.

Sorry cant make it during this weekend. Damn it!! :-)
Please do be careful travelling at wee hours. Especially when its nearing sunrise. The visibility during this time might not be very good. :-)
Also, for new drivers, can be quite a challenge especially at the stretches where there is no streetlights. :-)
Also, dun be like some ppl I know, high beam all the way!! Very distracting to oncoming vehicles and ppl in front of you. :-)
Just a word of advise. :-)

My old ride has no fog lights, hence I try not drive on Msia highways at night (where there is long stretch without street lights)
Can anyone tell me your experience when driving with and without fog lights in darkness - any vast differences?

no big deal. I will just high beam the entire lane. Fog light is only needed when in foggy conditions (eg. Genting Highlands) where high beam is practically useless.

Colmar Tropicale is nice !
Quiet and relaxing place. But basically nothing much to do up there besides walking around.

I'll be driving up, actually had been to Port D***son several times already, but never stay in this hotel.
Actually have been driving around W.Msia every school holidays (with kids & maid) bec my in-laws are there.
Ever drove to the East Coast (Kuantan/Kelantan), Cameron Highlands, Pangkor Island, Fraser Hill, Penang, Ipoh, Serambun... some of these places you don't see many SG cars - quite exotic
of course, my bro-in-law is my tour guide - I just follow his truck

Peiseh, I'm going in during this Sep school holiday. Will go KL to visit MIL (mother-in-law) after visitng PD. Then will stay at my bro-in-law's place.
Actually I don't like going in Msia during long weekend bec of the ridiculous jam @ causeway which can last 3 to 4 hrs. My rides have always been manual - leg will cramp, especially now older!
Perhaps during the next school holiday... sorry
