Korean Car Air-Con Pipe No Insulation

Last Sunday I was at Car-ni-val held at Singapore Expo. While walking around looking at the cars, I noticed that Hyundai i30 air-con pipe also has no insulation.

Hmmm .... it seems that this is a common practise.

actually, mitsubishi lancer, toyota altis and nissan sunny also don't have insulator leh.

Ah ... not true lei .... My old Nissan Sunny had insulation. Probably u r referring to the new models ... is it ?

How I know ... because there was one time I open the bonnet after parking the car and one of the tubes with rubber tube was "sweating" ...

it looks like a stock horn, but stock horn should be at the grills where its more efficient leh .. hmmmm

Both of my brother drive altis and sunny don't have insulator. I'm not sure what model you are refering to. my brother sunny is the 'round backside' one.

Hmmm ... that's strange. My Nissan Sunny Super Salon was manufactured in 2005. Mine is also round backside.

Let's say you are right. Is the air-con cold ?

My former ride was cold even when I set to 24.

my bro one is ex (if i'm not wrong)...the temp is 25. super cold. the fan speed is set to 1 only

actually last time i took to 1k service i told the phone operator my A/C not cold, but did not reflect it to mech when i send to garage.
but when i get back, it became rather cool ley.

i am too lazy did not open the bonnet to check, but seems very cool now that sometimes i need to off a/c

other than that havent heard of it.

the CnC mech said its the way they designed the A/C or what engine there.

wondering if tat part can be insulated?

Forte aircon is thumbsup

since collected car till now, never need to go more than fan 1 at 23 -24 deg.

One thing I forgot to mention in my first post was that I saw similar insulation done on aircon pipe on a Honda Jazz at the Broquet area at the Carnival.
