Problems/Enquiries/Concerns encounter for FORTE

hi bros , i got this prob when i play ipod and iphone on the aux mode , only can hear left side speaker(passenger side) , nothing from right hand side(driver side) speaker.....but when i switch to radio , i can hear both side....

any suggestion ?

i oso notice there is some sound coming from my windscreen when my car is going up MSCP. i dunno y leh... touchwood, lucky no crack.

Please advise if the USB port can use thumb drive to play music? I tried doing so but no music leh???

bro, did they resolve ur undercarriage knocking noises? i was told by ubi peopl tat is normal due to contraction.. i am a bit skeptical abt tat answer.. noises getting louder over time..

Hi, yes.. that's affirmative. The USB port on our rides can detect music files stored in the thumb drive. However, they must be in MP3 format.

Hi bro, I'm not very sure what could be wrong. Could it be the USB cable or the connection is really faulty? Perhaps, you should inform CnC during your 1K servicing

As for my encounter, whenever I hooked up my iPhone to the Aux in, it can play the music files but the iPhone always switch to Flight Mode.. Probably is my iPhone itself cos it ever happened when I hooked it to some speakers.

Try to balance the speakers from pressing the Menu button on the radio.

bro jaslovesforte - i initially got the iphone problem , always need to switch to flight mode , but i followed some of the bros method here , i plug out the cable from both side few times then plug in back again , now whenever i plug in the iphone , it'll auto play the music in aux without goin into flight mode....

yeah.. i'm worried about that cracking sound too. i hear it quite often but thankfully no cracks.. damn scared man..

eh bros, just to find out. our fortes can pak spc 92 or not? the SE told me she uses SPC92 too. any of you uses spc 92 too? Was thinking of changing from 95 to 92. cheaper mahh

my ride comes with the alarm so when i lock my door will have a beep sound when i unlock it is 2 times. but yesterday when i open my door it suddenly becomes 3 sound why is that so??? Anyone know??

One of your doors or the boot or bonnet has not been closed properly as indicated by the 3 beeps. Most probably it is the boot. Open it and and close it again with moderate force.

definitely can! i've been using it from day one...

have you tried using another thumbdrive? some thumbdrives have in-built programs, maybe that will affect the usb ability to read your thumbdrive...

i sent mine to leng kee and the knocking sound was resolved. i can't remember what's the reason they gave me for the noise but it involves the changing of parts and it's covered under warranty.

i think that's crap when the ubi ppl told you it's normal.. so far all the previous cars i've driven do not have that kind of noise...

i suggest you send your car to leng kee. the spare part takes about 2-3 weeks to arrive..

i encountered this in recent weeks as well. But mine is slightly different.

It has happened three times so far. when i pressed the 'unlock' button there is no response from the car. even the 'lock' and 'alarm' buttons refuse to work.

i have to use the key to manually unlock and inevitably the alarm will sound. to make matter worse, there is no by-pass button in the car to nullify the alarm.

all three times, i have to keep presssing the buttons on my key for numerous times before the buttons can work as per normal again and stop the alarm.

after that the alarm will beep 3 times instead of the usual 2 times when i tried to unlock the car.

i'm gonna get c&c to check on my fog lights on my next servicing as well.

my fog lights can't be activated at all. maybe they are shy or they dun want to be dian deng pao??

Kiang where fid you send your car for servicing to rectify the ticking sound on the dash board? I sent it to LK but they dun seem to do it rite. The sound was back after 1 to 2 days time. pls advise.

yeah i also faces problems with my auto folding mirror now after the 1st servicing ..... and some minor issues add together can be big leh

dashboard sounds cannot be solved unless they take everything out and install a new dashboard. this is something that CNC will not do.

sad to say, the car is not built to a high standard. even a vios from thailand is better built than the forte

i collected my 1.6sx last week. when i switch on the fog light and
low beam light, i can see the icon but when i switch on high beam, there is not icon. can someone tell me is there a icon if you switch on
high beam (i check the manual and it inidcated that there's a high beam icon). xie xie.

Yes, there should be a icon (blue in color) when your high beam is switch on.

U sure your high beam is switch on?

yes, i tried all the lights, front/ real fog lights, low beam(icon with pictures of two small light) and all will show the icon but when I switch to high beam, there is no icon. I also find it strange because
I cannot tell if the high beam is on if there is no icon. I will infm the workshop to check when I send in my car for the 1000km servicing.

Actually can tell from the light (when stationary) when u switch from low beam to high beam.

Switch to low beam first => light will shine on the floor.
then switch to high beam => should able to tell since the light will shine further.

bodykit is too LOW...... and fragile.....

Would like to find out something first, when your car is in stationary and den you turn on your aircon, do you guys actually experience that few seconds after the aircon is on, you will feel a slight vibration of the car?

Now this is the problem that i faced today, in fact just 2 hrs ago when i went out for lunch, i only turned on the aircon when i drive, radio was not on, so the whole car was very quiet, i could actually hear something like a metal producing a winding sound when i depressed the accelerator..mine is an EX manual for your info, duno whether am i too sensitive or what, just felt a little different..hmm..duno whether is it due to aircon problem or what..

Now in C&C Pandan, driver side window not working. Sian.....

3 beep when unlocking should be a indication that your alarm has been triggered.

Hi guys, making an inquiry from a new owner.. I have juz completed my first run in not too long ago and after the last top up of full tank, i find that i run only 7.63 km/l. I was shocked and jumped off my seat during the calculation. I thought my eyes was kidding me when i saw 13.1l/100km.

I only loan the car to my sis for 3 days and when i saw this i really jumped. She must have been super heavy footed when I was still running in and at first I thought the meter was going crazy. But does this happened to any one? I'm only driving the 1.6SX. 7l + per km is totally insane.

Maybe your sis was stuck in some heavy jam during the past few days ?

Yest when i went out with my sis and ask her to drive. I find that she has the habit of stepping hard on the accelerator when moving off. Esp when going up MSCP, she love to press - stop, press - stop and so forth. Hai~ Female driver.. Say she cannot get used to the car. Relax bro. I am sure it shouldnt be that bad (7l+). Its not some sports car.
Try driving it normally and go highway (travel @ 90 - 100km/h) It should improve.
By the way did you went for servicing lately ?
If you did, please check engine oil.
There has been cases of having too much engine oil after servicing and thus resulting in bad FC.

Wow this also will affect? I juz changed EO the day b4 and then drove quite a bit then got about 7+km per L.. hai~ Think later i go down stairs to check.

better ask your sis maybe she stopped at a place with engine on to wait for someone for too long? did it last time and after 30mins my fuel dropped one guage

I did have some sound not till extend of vibrating.

for my case, it seems going over hump or making turns or driving during hot sound... the dashboard sound like it is expanding or bend while turning and cause the sound

i have some rattling sound coming from the back.. doesn't happen all the time though. sounds like it's coming behind the rear seats.
And some sounds from the front passenger seat... like under the seat.

Anyone has them too?
