Dent on bumper of Cerato Forte

Guys,

Sigh, my cerato forte is less than 1 mth old and I kissed the pillar of a MSCP. It leaves a small line dent on my bumper.
Any suggestion on where to fix this? Should I go service centre to fix as I have not gone in for my 1K run in.
If service centre, how much u think will cost?

Hi bro, welcome to the forum

If u read the DIY, there is a thread on painless dent repair... if ur dent is small, park ur car in the hot sun and use dry ice to rub the dent... due to contraction, the dent will undent itself till the surface flush , check out our video too

in my home MSCP.. there a light blue forte had a bad dent in his front bumper too.. I dunno what he kiss.. but the dent is round deep inside.. guess the owner already given up hope as it been like 2weeks or so and the dent is still there..

What you can do is go to any commercial workshop and ask for a quote with spray. After that, when u go back to C&C. Ask them for quote and spray too.. whichever is cheaper den go for it..

hi friendlyfool, welcome abroad.. for ur dent, u can go to a MSCP beside e old capitol cinema near city hall mrt. inside e MSCP near e entrance, there is a shop dat do dent removal so u can juz check it out...

lolz... paintless dent removal using dry ice does not remove dent on bumper coz its not made of metal... e dry ice method work on metal surface only...

thanks guys. actuall the paint did not come off so is it a must to get it spray paint agai?
just need to knock back in place? possible?

usually after sucking the or beating the dent back it will have some crack line on the dent area.. this is the reason dent + repaint always come together.

my car had similar dent by reversing into a fire extinguisher box.
checked with lyedesign and paintless repair won't work, so doubt the dryice will work.
eventually sent for panel beating + repaint, cost ard $100 and job completed in 1/2 day.
this is the cheapest i'd found after asking a few shops.

read from other forum that you can buy dry ice from shops like swenson or haagen daz, or can even ask for dry ice from them if u buy some ice-cream from them.

if this doesn't work, u can try the paintless dent repair in one of the following place:

ah lye is the bestest,.... but his waiting time is horrendous... go to him, let him see and he will ask you come back another day....

the bumper is not metal, so repairers will normally use heat.. then hammer out from inside.... after they have brought the dent out ... or by as much as possible, the area will be putty over... the smooth down with sand paper and re-painted after...

i also feel the bumper is like plastic

Yo bro..... Me also first time owner but not first time kana bumper dent, hehehe.... If you wan a perfect job then you have to bring to spray workshop they will fill the dent n respray bumper for you..... If not juz buy paint from C&C and do touch up first n see how it goes.....

they likely to use a heat gun and try to roll it back to shape, if necessary they will smoothen it with putty and then spray paint over it...

the place beside Capitol Building don't do dents on bumper as it is plastic

yesterday went down to MCD, sad, shop not open, but saw a forte, shld the 1 u all saying now, the bumper ok la, can knock back. but the LED backlight damn chio sia. then saw the angel eyes for the front headlight. power, he also have built-in touch screen GPS i think from C&C.
