Just 1k more n u got ur COE. Was told mine only 10k allowance for bidding. Wth.

Let's say booked 1.6 SX(A) at $48999, and assuming OMV $14750, the basic cost of car is $14750 x 2.29 = $33777.
AD's Margin + COE Buffer = $48999 - $33777 = $15222

So if they are only willing to bid only 10K for you means they want to have a margin of $5222 to cover expenses, commisions, freebies etc..

In the form, only require to fill in the amount for top up. But there is a statement saying "final price is based on Non-guarantee COE".

Is this form familiar to all or is this common practice to say non guatantee COE...to me.. there are on upper hand again..i think i need to indicate the top up is for 2 more bids only before signing it. Else...no idea have to wait till when...

i agree... top up without guarantee coe is realli a disadvantage to buyer. And if you need, please indicate the top up is for how many more bids, at least there is an end to 'things'.

then I rather you dont top up and let pointless chance slip away.. If possible talk to their manager.. The purposes of topping up is because buyer is interested in the car and you keen to topup just to secure it.. if turn out with negative result.. Its forfeit the purposes already.

Can I know when do u buy your car? what model/color? how much is your car?

The last COE.. C&C lost alot of $$ due to losing many bids.. in current situation, they have more stocks than COE. WHY because JUNE come in large shipment, the last shipment is a super large and I still think there are remaining car.. Month end is coming soon and there's 1 more shipment coming in.. Which mean next COE.. C&C will go all their way to bid for COE.

Since its a non-guaranteed COE.. maybe I can advise u is.. dont topup first.. afte 6th Bid.. C&C will ask u again if you want to topup and secured the next round.. That is their common practise.. by then you can start going for it..

Actually, i initiate the top up since my 5th bid failed to secure. They bid 11588 for me. So if i top up say 2-3k, i want to make sure they
will bid at least 14k for me for the nxt 2 rounds so that chances are higher....

I didn't fill in any form, bro. I was told to email my SE and I cc. their senior sales manager (the one I talked to) stating clearly 'I am topping up SGD 4k for a guaranteed Open Cat COE with the following perference of colour for my car: 1), 2), 3).' As it was weekend, SE called me on Mon to tell me the senior sales manager passed her my COE already. Stock availability wise... sales manager will try to allocate me a car in this end June shipment based on my perference for colour. If I don't want, then I got to wait for my favourite-est colour lor... then he can't promise when he can deliver liao.

He's a pretty nice chap! I suggest you talk to him to understand the rationale why you are topping up for a non-guaranteed coe? Only then, you can make informed decision.

Since C&C nv ask you to topup means you still gain chance to secure it.. and when you initiate it.. you are giving your SE happiness!.. As I said.. dont bother to topup.. at the last bid and still failed.. upper management inform your SE and will contact you whether u interested to topup and get Cat E.

This is common practise.. so dont get conned by cheeky SE which trying to earn more pocket $$..

If topping is not a problem for you.. den simply tell your SE.. since no secured.. after the 6bids failed.. u will look for another SE and get straight top-up 2k for straight secured COE.. from there your SE will know he/she will lose the chance of earning your $$ that is when he/she will try hard to push for you.. simple tricks sometime do works on selfish SE =)

i was thinking to achieve a win win scenario for both SE & myself. As long as they can promise to secure my coe on the nxt two rounds with at least 14k, then i do not mind to top up 2-3k more..but if it is non guarantee, emmm..not sure should i give them chance to earn my $$$...
