Tyre puncture on Sat night....

Sigh fellow brudders and sisters I need to rant here.... Was driving along Bedok reservoir on Sat night at about 11pm when my rear tyre went over was supposingly a huge nail. The whole tyre went flat and I stopped along a bus stop with my wife and called the tow from AAS. 1st tow truck came took 1 hour and the guy said my car was too low , so needed a special truck where my car has to be driven up..... so waited another 1.5 hours.... I didnt change to my spare tyre because the spare tyre is at home.... Sigh what a day... (Towing fee , $120, Spare tyre $200, Waited 2.5 hours...) Reached home at 2am.... next day report sick for work.... D*mn....

How often do you guys get a flat tyre man.....

BTW PLS Avoid driving along Bedok Reservoir road.... Construction going on there due to the condominiums about to be built.

Wah, how come TOW so expensive??

That is why.....dun save that ridiculous weight for the spare tyre. KEEP IT!

Simply dun understand the weight saving some ppl are achieving.

you should have purchased the tyre sealant kit after removing the spare...

What does the tyre sealant kit do anyway? Thanks bro.

Anyway the reason why tow was $120 is because its not a normal tow truck.... Normal tow truck $80. Also must factor in that its midnight charge.....

the sealant liquid will seal up the nail hole.

i got my tyre flat on the veri first day after i change my rim.. lol sian half too.. but heng when its flat my ride is still in the carpark near my house and i got my spare tyre behine my boot..

At first i also thought of taking out my spare last time but lucky didn't. last week I just puncture my tyre lucky my spare still in the boot and change it within 15 mins. then the next day went to a tyre shop to mend the hole

I swapped the spare tyre for the tyre sealing kit

noob question.....

if u have a flat tyre, how does the tyre sealing kit help?
would it allow me to drive to the nearest tyre shop???

I was only asking what is the purpose of a tyre sealant kit.

LOL yah la same I also blur blur today.... I think it helps to close the hole caused by the puncture?

Eh...normal tow truck $50 only ma...how come $80 so ex?

Just a friendly advise: normal tow truck service to choice of wkshop is about $45....for low kits or 4WD that need a tow bed, it will cost $60-70.

most tyre sealant kits come with electric pump to inflate the deflated tyre. the purpose of the seal is to allow the driver some ample time to drive to the nearest tyre shop for a quick patching or a full replacement.

in over 15 years of driving, i have never had flat tyre.....so my tyre replacement skills... really iffy... so hopefully i dun have to test them anytime soon.....
