Re: List of things to do or u did for your new koup.
This is interesting. Just made payment and hopefully will get my car by end month.
Already acquired:
1. scuff plate
2. front/rear emblem
3. steering wheel emblem
4. 2din HU w/ reverse camera/gps
5. Active under-seat sub-woofer
Ordered:
1. HU face plate
2. Tail lamps
3. Strut bar(need to try for fitting)
4. License plate(front/rear white and back type)
Will do when car arrived:
1. Sound Proofing(2layers)
2. CSII
3. Rims (trade-in)
anyone feel any of this not neccessary or waste please let me know as it comes up to quite a fair sum of expenses....part and puzzle of car ownership in our beautiful and expensive country.

In Macwell.
95% of car use 35W power for headlight. So you got to choose a HID which is 35W then the plastic will not melt. Dun worry about the heat and power consumption as HID is much cooler and cosume less power. I guess you shld know all these. There is another version of HID which is 55W. Although it is ultra ultra super super bright, but my suggestion is not to buy those type. In long run, it will melt ur casing, wiring etc. Normally, nowsaday, workshop dun bring in much 55W HID cos no demand. Hope I answer your question.
Enjoy your mod.

Same power does not equate to same output temperature.
Power = Temp if other parameter (environment, humidity, pressure, type of material, Time) is kept constant/same. A watt is the power which in one second gives rise to an energy of 1 joule. A joules of energy is tranform into heat as energy cannot be destroy. Think of a hotplate/oven with 1000W.
For HID using 35 watt compared to normal Halogen bulb using 35W, the material use is diff. Xenon vs Tungsten filament filled with an inert gas. Xenon bulbs produce its light when a current of electricity is run in an arc pattern between two electrodes (Anode and Cathode). There is not a need to heat up to a certain temp as compare to tungsten filaments in halogen light bulbs which produces light only when they are heated up to certain degrees Celsius. This mean that it will be cooler to use HID of 35W compare to Halogen bulb of 35W. Note that this principle does not apply to 55W HID.
I stated my theory and it's up to individual to believe.

tats wat i meant in the theory of HID as it use diff material, otherwise, power is equal to temp for normal situation.
