Bros, I got mine HU from Audioedge, the rest like gps, dvr, reverse cam, etc, I bought them separately and bought some of them elsewhere. However, if you purchase the items from Audioedge, think you can negotiate for better HU price with them.

With all these items, I have also got the HU bracket and panel from Terrier, which is another cost as well.

Last 3rd is the front view and last 2nd is the rear view. As mine is a dual channel DVR, the 2 channel are sharing my HU AUX 1 input, while my AUX 2 is kept free for future use.

Powerful HU...but how did you mount the cam at the front?

The camera can be mounted anywhere, on the dashboard, on the windscreen, etc. It can be tilted. Besides the dvr, my HU still can take in front and rear cameras for driving purpose (for looking at the front corner blind spot and monitor rear attached cart) usually used in overseas.

Can the cameras can be used for surveillance too?

If so, how much can they record (8 hrs, 10 hrs etc..) and where is the footage stored? (SD card inserted into HU?)

Do you have aux battery installed or drawing from car batt?

The DVR attached to the HU is meant surveillance purpose. It can go on for a couple of days depending on the quality you set and you can set it to continuous recording. It supports up to 32Gb for each channel. It's drawing from the car batt.

The GPS looks cool but still need more map update.

Finally, went for soundproofing today. Thanks to many bros from the forum here for the important advice. I am 100% convinced by the quality of sound now. The bass is so..... much better now!!!! Don't think I need any sub-woofer now. In conclusion, the stock speakers from KIA are of some standards.

what did your hu come with originally? i'm in the states and our hu's come with sirius radio (see picture) but no touch screen. is this how yours came originally and then you added the alpine system?

Our original audio system is quite similar to yours, no touch screen too. I got the 2 Din touch screen head unit separately and of course have to get the HU Panel changed to suite the 2 Din installation.

how much is the total cost. i hope to get it all together. included speaker and amp all do at 1 go.

The HU is more than 1K, can negotiate on the price if the get more items from the shop. I onli change the HU. The rest of the items I bought them separately and before hand.

Errr.. can be enough and can oso not be enough, depending on the brand that you go for. Good if you can check with the bros in forum who are experts in I.C.E.

Soundproofing is easily worth the cost of upgrading the speakers.

Know what you want, plan and buy within your budget. Ultimately, it'll depend on your music taste as different source, amp and speaker combination will give different result.

Have to get a module for steering wheel control. I got the IR type, cost 100 plus.

Updated my DVR from 'ZMC Vehicle Digital Video Recorder' to 'ZMC 2 Channel In-Vehicle DVR(Compact)'. Much more features now and needs more time to explore these features.

Can record and play single channel or dual channels.
