$100 for wax + polish at workshop worth it?

Hi bros, since CNY is round the corner, thought of giving the car a new shine. Enquire at the workshops around Alexandra Village, and the average Wax+Polish is about $100. Takes about 3hrs. I see they using 3M Machine Polish and a handheld polishing tool to do the job. Worry will get a lot of swirling marks after that, and not sure of the market price for these jobs. So wanna asked bros around here your opinion. And 1 shop also do sealant for $180. Not sure what is the product and they cannot say how long it will last, just mentioned at most a year.
