Insurance company / TP recognise in-car video recording?
Hi bros,
Recently notice there is a lot of posts regarding installing a in-car video camera to protect driver in case of accident. I also very interested to get one, but have a question that nobody seems to ask.
In the event of an accident, will the insurance company and traffic police recognise the video you've captured? Will this be entered as evidence when they are making their judgement? Anyone knows of has confirmation with the relevant parties?

No case i handled on this yet. But when everyone say evidences, we can submit but if the evidence says anything in the first place.
I.e if we are negotiating a right turn with the right turn arrow blinking and one car come zooming beating the other light, the video will be good evidence. (evidence showing the traffic lights tt we are having the right of way vs just i say and they say.)
If we are going str and someone cut into our lane signalling their intention and they are infront of us, that can also be evidence but might be against us.
I think everyone who has claim insurance or claims being rejected or misaligned to our belief of what happened would have the understanding that people invovled in the accidents can have many variations of the story, the video is just showing the facts that happen.
i.e if the driver is beating red light and claims his side is green, the video can counter that.

video are the same like photo..
on all accident you are already reminded to take photo of your car ma... so with video it is even better.

Good point.... so it is logical they should treat video the same as photo evidence as accident records.

So the fact is established that video should be regarded as evidence in an accident. Whether you want to submit or not is a different matter. If you're in the wrong, don't think anyone so honest will still submit the video. Even if the other party knows you have a video recorder also doesn't matter. You can always claim the impact damage the recorder, nothing captured...
