You mean they called you? Is it a mass recall? Call back and ask them.

Have you logged a complaint regarding this with them or they just call you out of the blue?

Scary leh if there is some unknown fault in steering. But good if they actively recall for change.

I also interested to know why...

The turning radius of the Forte is wider and I realised I cannot make the same U-turn versus my EX previously although both the spec states that the turning radius is 5m.

EPS not ECU wor?? :-)

I think its cos I complained about the knocking sound when I turn the steering. But the thing is, after servicing and telling them the problem, no more sound. :-)

I now worried that if I get it replaced, the sound might come back. :-(

Bros/sis, advise?? :-)

The sound would sure come back one la.. I already get them to service a few times, still the same result.. I doubt they can solve the problem without replacing any components.

eps not suppose to lit up when u drive.. if it lit up mean u got no power steering... *experience tis first hand.. on a centre lane trying to filter for u turn.. :*( * call CnC abt it the CSO told me to inform during servicing... his forte also got same prob...

I thought they say Motor Driven Power Steering saved petrol blah blah blah.....

So any reason given why they are withdrawning it from the Fortes?

Due to the tendency of the Forte to veer left?

my SE told me because people find the steering too light, hence it becomes dangerous.

After too many complains, they decide to remove it.

I supposed they can't solve the veer left phenomenon as they kind of blame LTA for constructing roads that drained water from the centre island on the roads here.... haha.

Nah, Forte has to be the special one. Other cars obediently follow the rules and drives straight but we go one better. We keep left without effort when not overtaking. EPS Steering Icon_smile

Haven't collect car yet, but seems like the central panel housing CD is now in black colour instead of silver . Will update when it comes.

I like the EPS, light steering when slow speed and heavy when fast. I think I know why some ppl complain... they are the type that weave in and out of traffic, cut ppl's lane like nobody's business... The steering does significantly jump in heaviness between 20+ km/h and 50km/h.

Dude, might be the late hour but i find your statement damn hilarious la, lol!!! Had the same issue and they corrected for me only for it to veer more left, only just rectified today.
