Car plate # allocation enquiry...

Hello all,

just checking anybody have any idea how does the car plate # allocation goes!?!
Have been monitoring and notice tat as each bidding goes, 2 old series # will get eliminated.

eg.
bidding round 1: SJB 1-9 series + SJA 1-9 series are avail.
bidding round 2: SJB 1-9 series + SJA 3-9 series are avail.
bidding round 3: SJB 1-9 series + SJA 5-9 series are avail.
If every round eliminate 2 old series, can i conclde that if i get my ride this dec,

current bidding round: SJU 5-9 series + SJV 1-9 series are avail.
Case applies if i didnt bid any #.. i will get SJU 9 series this dec right!?

Wanted to bid my special # but my gal felt tat spending 1k on beautifying Koup is much better.. ..

Any1 out thr aware how e system works!?!
btw plus a small note, heard of SE subsidising ur bidding #!?!

unlimitedz - u can check the series they allocating to cars registered everyday (means those free one and no one bid for them) here https://vrl.lta.gov.sg/lta/vrl/action/pubfunc?ID=EnquireHighestSysNo

as of now, the allocation is SJT8605D to SJT9282U (Both Vehicle No. Inclusive)

By the looks of this, by end of tis week will start SJU liao.. and I tink one series (SJU) will spread over 2 mths max depending on the number of cars registered and how many bidded by ppl. so maybe may reach SJU 9 series in end dec?

I also wanted to bid but also decided dun wan to spend 1k leh.

oh... seems like e pro is right infront of me but i missed it.. hahah...

bid number can be transfer if said ppl want to buy your number they need to pay transfer fee. i know my old car transfer to new car paid 100 if old car to old car paid 500 if i am not wrong

Spending 1k on a number might as well buy me an LV bag. <----- that's what she is thinking lah

if you going to drive for long go for a bidded number bocs it will follow you as long you are driving if not after 20 yrs the car plate will worth alot of money if not y? ppl go buy old car plate like starting with 'E' series they are more than 20yrs i wanted to buy my neighbourhood 1 car plate. offer him 8k still can't get that number have to stick to my old car plate number. sian

Sry bro i still dun get what u trying to say, even if u retain the same carplate no. for the whole life it still doesn't make any diff rite? Its the car tat makes the diff. Anyway i dun mind having a new number everytime i change car so can buy 4D

sometime is the number special for a person. if you wan it then is like than used that we got a number same from house number to telephone number you know that number is special to you only. and you want to carry on using it regardless what car you driving

Oic so its abt the number being something special, coz i saw ur posts mentioning abt money i tot hw come carplate worth money? Anyway quite true bid it only when u want to retain something special otherwise it really means nthing much doesn't matter whether u driving the car for long term or not.
