The problem with white cars
Alot of these stains remain even after washing, going to resort to polish to remove them tomorrow. Potential white car buyers think again

Re: The problem with white cars
No need to wash everyday, just ensure that once your xiao bai touches water, on the day itself, you have to ensure to wipe it off specially during raining days and when washing car.
Water tends to store up in hidden areas and after awhile it will drip down leaving a mark and if this mark is not wipe off, it will seep into the paint. Just have to work hard maintaining it and it's still very swee!

Just always remember to wip it off immediately if not it's like coffee stain.
If not stand far away to admire and don't stay so near and white is still the cool colour

Re: The problem with white cars
Easiest way is to have a water pipe in your car + 1 clean baby diaper cloth... when dirty... juz look for a MSCP, put 20 cents. start using water to rinse. dry with cloth.

Re: The problem with white cars
looks like i need to be hardworking also.. lol..
what kind of cloth is good ah? other than baby diaper cloth?

Re: The problem with white cars
I keep 2 cloth at my boot. Like today big rain come back spend 5-10min wiping the car dry. Been doing that for my old car also.
Why 2 cloth? After wiping, i'll bring the cloth back home to wash clean. So in case i did not put it back and need to wipe there is one spare.

Normal cloth can already as long as they can absorb water and is not rough. Afterall this is just to wipe dry your car. If you scared buy micro-fibre cloth.
Size try to get bigger ones so that they wiping process can be faster.

My colleague's 1 year old white Honda Civic - it gets dirty very quickly. When he doesn't wash his car after 1 week ...... the whole car is full of stain marks ... When he gets it washed... it looks very clean and handsome.

Re: The problem with white cars
strange... i don't find any stain and dirt on my car. could it because your west area is near to Jurong Island and thus those pollutants came down with the rain?

You did anything to your grill? Like unscrewing the grill before? Was thinking last night might also have stuff trapped there. The front stain look symetrical so might be due to the above mentioned reason.

Re: The problem with white cars
nope... i didn't clean my (sibling)'s car, also a white, for months and no stain was spotted. my area is near to the central reserve occupied by rainforest.
too much "acid rain" in your area.

Re: The problem with white cars
If the rain comes while you have the car cover, there will be very dirty patches on the car after the rain stops and the water dries up.

yeah...those cover are not water proof one...even if they claim to be....I used more than 6 over the years...trying different brands....
And the ugly patches...its really bad.
The next worst thing is have to keep a dripping wet cover in the car if you happen to need the car while it is raining...
Also, got to take proper precaution when opening the cover cos my A pillar got many fine scratches due to car cover opening/closing and the cover moving about in the wind....

The detailing comes with protectant or waxing right. At least your paint work is protected with new coating.

Re: The problem with white cars
Use a professional paint sealant like Meguiar's NXT or their pro sealant 2.0. I use it every 2-3weeks, it really helps against waterspots and bird droppings. If you find it too troublesome to wax the whole car in one go, just wax the bonnet/roof/boot during one week and the next week do the doors/fenders/bumpers.

I "tried" that. But always end up waxing the whole car.

Then isn't it better? Anyway I think you probably work in the tuas industrial area (or near some power plant). It's tough to protect your car paint, maybe you can try covering your car when you park it?
