How many times you wash your car a month?

Collected only on Sat and today, the black dust is so thick... I think the MSCP brake dust might corrode into our paint also right.

Just received my car a week ago, haven't wash my car yet already found some dirt especially at the front bumper. Going for my 1K this friday and let CnC wash for me, after that send my car for CSII coating.

Do CnC washing comes with waxing at 1K service? Me too lazy to do washing...

o.O i did my PPS i also wash le but use water no soap. Cos too dirty dun wash later stuck lol..

In any case, i did my first official car wash one week after. Did not use shampoo just water. The PPS seems to make dirt smear instead when i wipe with a cloth. And the easiest way was to use a dry cloth to wipe the smear away after that.

After the wash, the silky feeling still here. So i guess dun use shampoo is correct for those who use PPS.

so we shouldnt go petrol station that car wash lo.. when can use shampoo again? two weeks enough?

Lol, i tempted to go wash at petrol station weekly but for now, i think just DIY wash, takes only 45min and 40 cents. lol

Lastime I drove a Renault they use some spray wax after car wash for the 5K servicing. That why I tot Kia also have...

anyway, the boot tends to be the dirtiest (esp below the licence plate) for my white ride... hence have to clean almost every 2-3 days...

Yeap, its better to dust it first before wiping. In case some grains of sand is on your car. I try to dust it daily 2min job when my engine is warming up in the morning. MSCP alot of brake dust flying around.

white car is very difficult to maintain.. i started with open car park at my block.. den realise the MSCP two blocks away is only $75 per month so just switch over this week.. still got some dirt but much better than open.. open car park two days dirty liao.. got all sort of s**t, leaves, unknown stains and scratch/ dent marks.. tats why i surrender.. MSCP is so much better..
i normally wash "illegally" using fire hose reel but i chop chop finish and tidy up the hose b4 i go.. i like diy washing cos can notice any "damage" to ur car while washing and much cleaner than kiosk style..

Hi, after 1 week of CSII coating, can we go car wash with soap?

CS II said can.. but if possible ask them to dilute the soap.. which i think those ppl quite bo chap one... for me.. first few wash i do it myself.. use more water than shampoo.. impt thing is the preserveration lotion.. apply it nicely and u got tat smooth feel again.. and tat coat make next washing easy!!

i tot apply cs2 the painting will be preserved and minimum effort need to be done.. but seems like i still need to do all the necessary care with or without cs2.. and even afraid simple soap washing can wash away cs2 .. it should protect my car not for me to protect the cs2 and the car rite..

Ya i agree with you too, if must spend so much time to maintain it, then what's the point of paying $200+ for the coating and pray that coating won't be gone with a few wash.

I dun think CS-2 protective coating can be so easily washed off...
Most likely its the glossy silky smooth teflon film that is washed off...

Anyway, within warranty period, if the coating is really gone, jus send in for re-coat loh...

CS II is applied and "sealed" to the paintwork tats for sure.. but of cos it still will get dirty.. CS II protect the paint in the sense tat stains r difficult to penetrate into the painwork and stays there.. tats the whole idea of doing any PPS...
Nevertheless, cleaning/ washing is still part of ur job to ensure ur car is clean n free from stains.. so far after CS II, i am able to remove all stains on my car... hence in a way PPS works..

just dun let the stain stay too long..... we might end up with the pps "protecting" the stain as well.....

oh i didnt get it from CnC.. i go CSII direct.. after u done ur CSII they give complimentary gifts i.e. one small shampoo, one small preservation lotion and a special cloth for cleaning cars..

Mine is from 3mendouz, dunno is it the same as the CSII thing but after 1 and 1/2 weeks and one wash, still feels silky. Maybe i call up the contact person to ask how come no freebies..

think 3mendouz is another company leh.. last time i was quite keen to do there oso.. mm.. guess after longer period the sikly feeling will be gone (this doesn't mean CSII protection is gone btw).. tats why occassionally i apply the lotion after my wash..

Lol yah. I think i am the only person doing it there. Took it from my SE for 380 somemore, better be good.

Ok info for all white owners, after pumping fuel dun just drive off. Check no leak then drive off. I kenna already...

The body part no issue can remove when i go back to PPS side to do it, but the bumper cannot. The stain is there and the PPS guys told me lan lan they use machine also no use.....

ya, the bumper is plastic hence they cant do anything.. bird **** stain also.. when see it drop at the bumper, better remove it fast..

i just found out that for some caltex petrol station, if you pump $50 petrol will get install $3 off the petrol price. then if you show your receipt that is more than $40 to its car wash, you can get $3 off car wash also! saved a lot of money wor..

i normally will pump petrol either myself or tell the uncle not to over pump.. usually stop at the first jump.. hence seldom got issue of overflown petrol.. and if got.. standby some waste rags to clean it immediately..

Btw, what's the logic behind after CSII done cannot wash car for a week?

Please advise as i thought the warranty is on the "shine" thingie and CSII gtee if 10% less shine free recoat. So is this same as the lossy silky smooth teflon film

i went to the bukit batok caltex de. i think most caltex got la especially those with car wash together de. you can ask before pump petrol lo.
with ocbs credit card got more discount

GOt car distance not too big of a problem. The service person told me its better to do area spray than buy paint to touch up.
