Here's mine... A classic retro, in fact!
A 1996 KHS Comp FXT similar to the bike shown in the pic below. But upgraded with XTR/XT gruppo circa 1995, 747 SPDs, White Industries Cranks and Manitou Mach 5 SX Front Shocks.
Currently playing the part of choice, free-hold accommodation for spiders... Dust included.

I havent been riding for eons.. Jus got this cos my ligament tear 50% in my last bike accident back in 06. Now cant really jog so either swim or cycling to keep fit.
LONG LONG TIME back play stun bikes HaroMaster... then stopped for more than 10 yrs... now.. .seem like still cycling is good form of exercise.. why not. But the price does seems bit steep.. hahah If got the moolahs, I would have gotten the 1.0. Thicker Body, better hydraulic brake system. HAHAH
I not into the spare part yet.....
So waypoint.... all still sound very foreign to me. .HAHAHA
AND Fyi..... me and siaoster bought same one each but i guess he SUPER bo eng to ride.... hahha

I'm riding one too. So far so good, not the stiffest around (for my '08 model) but for the price its very decent quality. I think the newer designs should perform way better.
Either way for the price, its a steal. Frame has got little resale value but the grouppo you're getting is pretty worth it.

Some people consider this bike as... buy the parts and get the frame for free...
Some pple told me coz some of the parts are manufactured in Indo... that's why they could sell it @ that price.
joepele- Senior Member
Re: Cycling KaKis??
the frame is manufactured in indonesia ba, the shimano groupset is erhm...shimano lor.
for my bike the only thing left is the frame, changed everything.... kindda like the '08's bladed fork, and didnt want to spend too much when i was starting off last time.

Ya, the frame is made in Indonesia.
Actually... For Shimano, different parts are manu in different countries.
e.g. XTR - Japan.
XT - some are manu in Malaysia... and hence, the price difference.
Will not be surprised it's the same for road parts as well.
Sorry, cannot access FB from office.

A convoy of Forte for Desaru cycling trip...tht's so cool! I once joined a cycling trip to Desaru long time ago, they use 4x4 pickup as support vehicle. The cars can take ferry at Changi Ferry Terminal to Desaru.
VAG- Junior Member
Re: Cycling KaKis??
Desaru can easily be accessed by bike via Changi Ferry Terminal. It's $11 per way for a rider + bike (total $22).
Sungei Renggit is about 20km from the Ferry terminal and there's lots of relatively cheap seafood and MaryBrown Fried Chicken in the sleepy little town.
