Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Anyone of you have such issues? As i realised that even thought the car is armed, but when i press the release boot button. The boot will be opended, without the alert of the armed alarm.

wat model u driving? by default, SX have no alarm so can always open boot by remote.

Mine doesn't come with it. My SE throw in the security alarm for the 1.6SX.

Actually I discovered this sometimes back.

When I didn't install alarm, I can open boot without unlocking. Then when I closed the boot, the 4 doors are still locked.

So when I installed alarm, the behaviour remained the same.

Unless there is any changes, the SX does not comes with alarm.
It just come with a remote lock/unlock and boot release, but no arm/unarm and other features. e.g. no siren when unlock and open the door using key.

SX stock no alarm. Bro koayst, did the alarm installer run a wire to your boot lock? If not your boot not covered by alarm.

Once and for all, all SX model does not come with any alarm system...the OEM remote is for auto lock/unlock and remote boot opening function....for SX, u still can remote open yr boot with yr doors remained locked....unless u install 3rd party alarm system...

No such thing as an alarm but silent one....as mentioned...

My mistake. I just tested it and when I didn't unarm the alarm and open the boot using the stock remote key that came with the car, the alarm would be activated i.e. (alarm went off).
