Leather seats discussion Empty Leather seats discussion

Post by ericsoon72 28th July 2009, 12:43 pm

hi all, would like to ask the current forte owners if there are other leather seats colour selections available other than black?

Also, are the seats half or full leather?
Saw in another forum (can't rem which one) that only the part which you're seating on is covered in leather.

Lastly, are there different leather seats stitchings? like red stitches with black leather seats?

Thanks! Laughing

from what i know from my SE is I cannot choose, usually black.

If ur SE is good they will let you.

Leather shld be free for SX, Ex is still fabric unless SE throw in for u.

Stitching also have to ask SE.

Yup leather is half leather.

bro, only black color given as it is in stock condition. Some buyer request agent to change the color of the leather, take note this is done under agent's own expenses, not by kia....

all leather seats are locally made....so if you order and want to customise, let SE know so that leather will not be fitted.... ask for discount as you don't want leather seats... then bring to your own installer for them to customise to your preference, about 1 to 2 k in price and takes about 2 days....

I think we can use double sided tape to remove those stray "hair" leather. Caused by the perforation "hole" made during manufacturing...

i think i know the "hair" u guys ae talking about liao.

I saw when treating the leather seats, but seems like non-existence after a few treatment, think it comes from the fabric the leather is reinforced behind. maybe its normal?

I just not happy that the leather shape gets distorted for passenger seat after a while.

normal or not?

i use amorail,.. dunno the spelling. Its brown bottle with balck cap.

supposed to clean and moisturise the seats.

i thnk when they die-cut the holes on the leather, the thread behind becomes abit loose, (mass produced stuff bor bian) so no moisture to lock down the stray "hair". after i apply then cannot see it.

unless we talking about diff problem..

O ya something strike me just now.. the scary part is they told us 2 days to repair and end up you guess what for the past 2 days they are busy plugging the hair.... Razz

Then after that when you collect told you leather totally change to new one... and you see no hair and believe what they told you.

Post by Terrier 31st July 2009, 7:41 pm

guyz.. no use 1.. the thread are inside leather.. and why the hair will usually appeared more at the driver side..

cause your warm body sit on it.. den when u move out.. the static of your clothes actually pull the thread out..

in long run.. the thread will be gone.. i rather let it gone naturally than going back to C&C.. letting them dismantle the whole seat and pull out the cover again.. this will loosen the leather case fitted to your seat.

Its not normal and I think is a matter of Quality issue. I visited the Citroen showroom today during my 5K services.
I look at the Citroen Picasso 1.6 the seats are really First class quality as compare to ours. The shape of the seat will never
distort after sitting on for a while, the support is really firm.
