Actually most jap cars that i've driven before can, just that forte cant.
But its the design not a defect so not much of a concern.

Think It had to do with the shape of the rear passenger door? Forte's more triangular than squarish so the windows do not have space allowances to be fully down?

i dun think its for safety, but limitation due to the wheel arch... and forte rear window is of 1 piece type..usually those could fully open comes with the fixed triangle window piece...

just imagine the shape of the window need to be store inside the door and u see what i mean.. further some curvature limitation too..

IIRC most moden model rear window cannot fully retract liao..

For safety reason? more like due to design problem. Today at immigration clearance @ woodlands met a very "on" officer ask me to wind down fully and I told him this is the max i can wind down liao. LOL

I dun think its for safety.. think early Civic 90' EG9 also like tat (being 1st few design without the fixed triangle window) its just that the window cannot fit the rear wheel arch to fully retract... but it happen to be good too lo for kids...
