I do believe they manage to land a few successful bids at least. They probably will have a meeting and decides who those COE will go to....example.

Client A might want to top up...etc etc
Client B everything ready juz need COE etc etc
Client C already said before top up any amount die die want this round COE

Guess those who got their cars must be fortunate people... my reserve was 6k plus, successful bid was 4890, got it at the first bidding. Even the loan, got it without questions asked....

Then car available as there were people who either cannot secure loan or COE and so this car was assigned to me.....

No headaches at all.... my wife was all hoping that loan cannot get or COE cannot secure....

We actually were not desperate to own this car, if we get it, we get it, if not then nevermind...

Looking at COE prices rise, I think this Forte has risen in value slightly too.

So who had their bid successful here? Spare ur infos pls

Bought the car when the cOE is ard 5k, so what happens if the COE shoots up above 10k and 5-6 bid already? Whats the usual practice? will we need to pay extra? (but my SE says the price is net net..) Will they still bid for us if above 10k or will they just refund us the 1k deposit?

Ur SE is what level one... Ask him dun bull la.. Anyway bidding of COE is not ur SE responsibilities... Its handle by another group.. Normally they will categorise the customer pool... Rule of thumb, the higher profit margin will tend to get the COE faster..

then like this how many pple will not get their cars then? ... haiz.... sianz.... no way out meh?

A surplus of 630 bids means the next round COE will go higher.
It's when surplus range below 230 or so that indicates next round might even out or go lower.

open cat is ard 482 also.... sure go up and up

It's a common trend for the COE to go up...after the FEB $2 COE, next round will have alot of ppl coming in trying to get cheap COE, those who failed to get will carry on to the next subsequent round of bids....and it just snowball until now.

It's a matter of how much we want to wait or how eager we want to get the vehicle.....either way is a gamble.

so once we put in the order form and gave the deposit, the car has been ordered right(kind of)? so what happens if most of the pple cannot get the coe (if the coe shoots up rocket high) after the 6th round? then they will have excess orders..... so its like they refund the deposits and keep the existing stocks for next round of sales(they can mark up the price due to high coe)..... does it work that way or am I thinking too much??

2: Govt reduced COE supply by 25%.
3: Forte was launch with $2K discount & received more than 500 booking.
4: Avante dropped price from >$50K to under $39K to steal the show.

I think they will try their best to secure a COE for u, no sale = no commission. It's juz that some black sheep spoil the market occasionally and make it an unpleasant experience for buyers.

If they refund you the coe and cannot find new buyer for the excess stock in hand....heads will roll.

Ok... they come in batches... so it just a numbers.. for those who failed to get the COE , they will just give the car to others who had obtain. So next round they just order lesser lo.. C&C surely is good in doing this kind of maths.. hehe.

Well, C&C will never worry if they got excess stock.. Normally if got excess stock and they want clear off... they will throw in a lot of freebies one even including bk...
My boss got his new TOYATA WISH (old facelift) for 60k only.. Is the same everywhere... Clear stock, make ways for new facelift. My sis got her LANCER GT (OLD facelift) for 61k, new facelift now selling ard 73k.. haha

The number of COE may be further reduced after the Sept review and also due to lesser car being scrapped (bad times people keep car longer), COE number may get lesser.......

900 fortes in a month is hotcake to me.

Err.. Is not 900 a month.. is since launch date till now... I think exceed 1000 liao.

Think weekend go down there to buy the car... because the prices will be around what are reflected on Kia website + another 1-2k because COE increased 2k ma-h...

Its really a hot car that reported sold more than 1000 units since launch..I thought 1000 is really a lot!!

think its the power of TV commercial plus the look of the actual car that made it sell well..

Too bad, the cerato that came into Singapore dont have the auto press start button (keyless) as shown on TV commercial.. only left hand drive cerato got that feature.. so funny.
